What hubs don't fit the kw's then?
Interesting about going for v2's was that budget driven or best overall performance? Expected something racier on a track only car but guess it shows how good standard kw stuff is
Yeah sorry stupid iPhone changed pit to pot lol.
I didn't see how you could limit the speed of a car when throttle is controlled mechanically, still don't to be fair, but good to know it can be even if I don't know how.
Nice info Matt. Do any suspension Artois for the Clio start involving different turrets, more adjustable top mounts, different wishbone configurations etc? Speaking from 106 experience I know the serious racers have widened track by moving tip mounts outwards, wider wishbones, altered rear...
So what's planned for this then? Not really seen much Clio suspension stuff, loads of throttle bodied or charged engines etc but suspension wise just seems to be kws, ast top mounts and a whiteline arb.
Must be more than that? Especially on a big build racer
Out of interest, are you going for standard suspension with some bushes added to keep costs down or is it not worth going further?
What about rose jointed arms?
Altered top mounts like the x85 cc cars etc?
You going for full rear coilovers or spring pans?
What suspension setup are you going for?
Lmao at all the people saying repair your bonnet.
As say, drilling a small hole in carbon isn't a problem with a small sharp drill bit. Mask where you want to drill and go for it.
No one makes a subframe for the 197. and i want recaro buckets lol.
Could 182 owners with recaro buckets and subframes, measure the distances between all the holes on their subframes?
(thinking about it, just anyone with a 182, could they measure the holes in the floor pan for their seats?)...
what rate springs do people run in their cars?
post up front and rear rates, and whether the car is a track machine, or road car.
I know the clio cup uses 75n/mm fronts and 130n/mm rears, and just trying to understand how that compares to "daily drivers" and track cars on here.
Also, do...
rear coilover unit isnt the be all and end all i just fancy having it if its available. There are v3s. Then there are ast for the same price but with proper rear unit. Then for a bit more there is the ast inverted version. Then for a little bit more there is the kw comp spec. There is 600 quid...
it went like this:
i have some questions about your clio cup competition suspension.
Ok sir.
Is the rear a coilover unit or a spring and damper.
Er. I dont know. It will probably like the normal car.
Well the cup race car has a rear coilover but the roadcar has a damper and...
wow. 4 pages lol. Cheers for the input guys. I am no great driver or anything. I wont run 20laps fully timed to see what setting is ideal for a specific track etc. I just want something that will do the job. I dont want to 'slam my ride'. I want something thats going to be able to be setup by...
cheers for the feedback guys. Certainly sounds a topic with strong opinions. I love the kw gear for its durability etc. I am not sure how track focused it is vs road focused but hey. The appeal of the ast is a proper rear coilover unit which kw dont offer. If kw did a v4 with rear coilover i...
