Thanks for the comments :) would love a cup spoiler, but would have to find a cheap one as I'm trying to spend as little as possible on it!
Been looking at the F1 decals from the other models and might be tempted with the square design ones.
was all ready to paint the wheels white until I saw...
Well I did spend a lot of time editing the pictures on Photobucket, but they dont seem to have worked when uploaded onto here?! Shame cos it made it look better and cleaner lol
First off, I know its not an official F1 edition. The idea was to make that car look like it Could be an F1 edition, if Renault ever made one!

Wow havnt been on here for a while!
Lost the love for my car for a little while, so there has been no real progress for a little while. Think with my last year at uni being so hectic that i just didnt have any time for the car :(
But re found my love for it now, and the project is very much up...
Looks awesome bud, remember having a good look round this at TRAX :)
Looks lovely and clean and neat.....a lesson for me there! :)
Loving the rear spoiler, where is that from? Going back through your thread now to find out
Would have to leave the tyres on, firstly because i cant fit the wheels in my car to go and get the tyres removed! And would end up costing me more money overall (money which i dont actually have!) So would have to leave them on....but at that price its like having them free :)
To be honest, if you offered me £450 id send you the whole lot! Wheels, custom adaptors, tyres and extended D1GP wheel nuts, so all ready to just bolt on :) The whole package cost me roughly £650-£700 so its a fair price i think :)
lmao, yellow tint is epic, thats why i bought a yellow car ;)...
Well after buying the BBS's i had just enough money to buy these coilovers, otherwise it would be still on standard suspension with rediculous ride height. I have full intention of buying better, more expensive coilovers once i have the money, these are just a stop gap until i can afford some...
Advans just werent doing it for me, stance was s**t on them, so was looking around for some more wheels when my mate offered me these. BBS RM's, 15"x8J fronts and 15"x8.5J rears.
Got some cheap coilovers second hand from the mx5 forum, eventually fitted them (b*****d to remove the old ones...
Saw loads of clios stuck in the traffic on the A46 just as you get to Kenilworth this morning about 11:30.
I was in the bright yellow mx5 going the opposite way!! Waved at a few of you and got some waves back!! :D
Think im going to sell the advans tbh, just dont do it for me really :(
Not sure on what other wheels to get though, know a couple of sets of BBS RM's that are up for sale, but want something retro JDM and 15"
PM about coilovers :)
Dont like over fenders so wont be going for them :)
Wanted big profile tyres because they are only 14's....didnt want it running too low once it is lowered. Cant even get the jack under the car as it is now, even when it is on the big plank of wood i can only just get the jack underneath....so...
I know its not low enough yet, saving up for coilovers. Should only be a couple weeks at most until its slammed :D
Also thinking about getting a side exit exhaust made up
Suprised at how low it is already, had to remove several bolts from the inside of the front wheel arches due to rubbing already.....Cant wait to get it slammed on a set of coilovers now :D
Teaser pic until rest are uploaded :)
Got tyres fitted couple of days ago, but had to wait for new extended wheel nuts to arrive before i could fit the wheels. They are now on though! :D
They do poke out a fair bit, but not as much as i was expecting tbh, so rather happy with that :) Just some slight modifications required now...
Dont want overfenders, really not a fan tbh, and would rather spend the money elsewhere on the car....like some lower seats so i dont keep hitting my head....
Progress is slower because i still havnt sold the scooby and have no money lol!
Fingers crossed it should be sold tommorow though :)...
Right not much happened so far still.
Ended up having a bit of an incident with a curb whilst drifting in the rain lmao! Almost bent the lower wishbone in half!! But bought another one off ebay for £27 and got it fitted within an hour so wasnt too bad :)
Got my Advans through about a week or...
Its already been removed :rasp: Just put it on when i took it off the scooby to see what it would look like. Ive bought a bronze Benen tow hook from america (cos it was £20 including shipping) But dont know weather ill fit it yet.
Definatly ;)
