yeah not a big issue really, I find if im in 5th pootling along behind something I will just go into 4th then 3rd while the clutch is down and that either gives it more time or a slicker movement
Title says it all really, 172 phase 1, when I change down into 3rd to over take it seems a bit tight, a bit of a crunch. Ive played about with gear changes but it seems relevant to revs as in if I allow it to slow down it goes in fine. Car has done 58k, any ideas?
All sorted now, the friction material had come away from the pad! New pads and problem solved, The amount of smoke coming from my wheel was quite shocking
ok so ive had a look and its quite odd, the inner pad has worn down to the metal on the top side but has remained near to full thickness on the bottom. i presume this is because the slider bits the pad runs on need a good clean up
tried to leave this morning and my handbrake wouldnt release until i revved hard, then i had a juddering and when i next used the brakes the locked on the rear pass side to the point i ended up dragging my rear wheel along. so i returned home by which point (less than 1/4 mile) my calliper was...
Driving home tonight and went to wind up my window only to hear a loud creak, not abnormal in its self, but the bang which followed was. Any ideas what this could be and do I risk using it until i investigate further?
I cant see that much of a change over standard but I didnt measure before and after which I had fully intended to do, I think the excitement of fitting them took over and I wish I had now.
Fitted sportlines now, had a bit of fun doing the front without compressors but I cant confirm it is possible with some help! took it out for a quick drive and it definately feels tighter through corners but pleasingly retains ride comfort. The lowering however I can barely see unless it is...
Yes I dont know why they arent galvanised, cant cost that much to do. Mine has gone a bit manky too but its fairly tucked out of view, to Ktec have a guarantee on this?
I got mine from ebay, £3 but you do have to pop the radio out (only a 5 min job with some 3mm wire) took a photo of the label on the back gave the guy the relevant code and he read my radio code back to me in seconds.
Ive got the mild steel stealth, deeper throatier tone. As Quinnie says there is a bit of a knack to fitting it to hang right, just put it together loosish and hold it up on some softwood blocks 1-1.5" higher than you want it, tighten it up. My backbox strap was a bit sloppy so i used a 1" strip...
same here, will always start but regularly it fails to fire first time and then splutters to life second or third time. For now im just fooling myself its a temperamental sporty thing
go to your local aquarium shop (preferably a Maidenhead Aquatics) and get some 4mm silicone air line, it fits perfectly and you should be able to get some clear or opaque.
