Ask the insurers if you can retain the vehicle for salvage. They will probably let you have it for a few hundred quid and then you can strip it for parts, eg you should get a few hundred quid for the wheels
It'll have the ability to be wired in to your wheel controls but you will need to buy the link cable (connect2 or alike) which will cost about £20-£30. It won't just simply plug straight in to the renault wheel controls
If you took her insurance details and she agrees to settle privately give her insurers a call and ask to speak to the third party care team. Let them know you have agreed to settle privately and ask them to contact her to confirm if she hasn't been in touch with them already. But I really would...
best bet is to contact the other party and see if she would be happy to settle privately. If she is ask if she can get a quote for the repair - body work can be bloody expensive to repair as I'm sure you know. If it's affordable then call both insurers and advise them you are settling privately...
Cheers beef, that looks like the one I need. The one I've got has grey connectors so looks like it's for a different car. I could probably bodge it but wanted to do a proper job!
hi guys, just bought one off a chap on eBay but it's arrived and the connectors are totally different. My cars a 2002 172 Cup and apparantly the wire was for a 2001 car. Does anybody have a photo of what the connectors should look like before I ask the guy for my money back?
Plugged might iPhone into the iPod connector on the alpine today. Plays fine and can control the tracks but doesn't charge up. Screen on the alpine seems pretty good tbh. Good luck out there!
