Evo magazine. Actual tested performance data!
Fiesta st 2014 0-60mph 7.4sec, clio 182 0-60mph 6.6sec, ep3 type r 0-60mph 6.8sec all stock cars (not modified).
Not comparing book times, I'm talking about actual TESTED times!!!!! Both stock!! Check EVO mmagazine's test data.
Anyone who knows anything about car's must know the mag!
Check it out Fiesta boy....
A tractor has a shite load of torque must be fast as shite!!!
As standard, the 182 has a quicker "TESTED" acceleration time than a standard new model fiesta st.
Check EVO perfomance data!!! I will take their word over it rather than yours.
Fiesta fanboy......
Have to agree. Evo mag for example tested the 2014 model Fiesta st.. O-60mph in 7.4sec & 0-100mph in 18.4sec. They also tested a clio 182.. 0-60mph in 6.6sec & 0-100mph in 17.3sec. Both standard!
The clio is a fair bit quicker in a straight line, when both stock..
Cheers for the reply Matt.
Sounds like the right way to go, so will get one from ebay today. Just hope it's not faulty. Have been told that the item is tested and it comes with a return policy. Will let people know if it solves the issue once fitted if interested.
Any joy with solving your issue?
I have the exact same problem with my 172, have done for the past 1.5 yrs:S Idles perfect but goes into limp mode out of nowhere. Switch ignition off then back on and all is fine for anywhere between 30sec to a few days. Also after doing this a few times, up...
Just ordered 15mm for the rear, 20mm for the front. Bit worried about tyre scrubbage, but will put up with it if it's only minor. Gotta have the stance for my 172 that your car has mate.lol
Apparently the spacers are going back up to original price tommorow, as told from seller. Going to be £10...
Love the look of your car mate, it has the perfect stance.
I also have a Ph2 172 but in pearl black, lowered on apex springs with the standard 172 alloys and am looking at some 15mm hubcentric bimecc alloy spacers from ebay. Not sure it's the right move though, as I could do without wheel...
Was thinking of getting Rota spec r's, for the 172 but have been put off after reading this thread and looking at them PICS! Gonna just get some pro race or turini's now.
Got to bring back this old thread, as i'm having the exact same problem. Cannot get the old boot off due to the exact same reason as said above:banghead:.
Can anyone shed some light on this?
Brother has a Williams (standard) apart from cat-back exhaust well looked after.
It's pretty quick but feels faster than it actually is because its so tinny.
My 172 is however is definetly quicker in a straight line (cat-back) only. Saying that my 172 is just as quick as the 182 I used to own...
My phase 2 172 has about the same mpg as my previous car had.
A 182.
31-32 mpg combined normal driving.
....ie. not ragging it around the streets like a t**t.
172 by a long way. My 172 standard is quicker than my standard 182 I sold a while while back. (Sold the 182 to free up some needed cash).
Also owned a vts about 5 years ago, it's quick for a 1600cc but in standard form is nowhere near a standard 172/182.
