Would a JC5 129 be write fitment aswell as speedo fitment?
Had a quote for £350 plus 50 delivery for a JC5 129 (18 month warranty)
Or would it work out cheaper rufurbing box?
Hi all over the last 3-4 months i had a project in my spare time.
had a ph1 donnor car picked up for £600 with dephaser problem and the owner didn't have the funds to fix.
Had a ph2 Non sport sitting around for 2-3 years rotting away.
Anyway decided to go ahead and make tack car results...

Tbf mate mines done this and I tryed a though things like disconecting the battery for 20minz and the connected bk up to try reseting everything. But this did work at first.
then next morning started car up light turned of.
Don't no weather this helps but what I tryed.
Yh just wondering you see because I'm running braided fuel line to the fuel rail and through all my over cars through the years it always runs a fuel return line but as I understand some ph1 later models don't run one.
Hi all have recently done a conversion to a non sport for a track project.
I am currently using all the ph1 running gear/ loom/ fuel pump and fuel line.
Car is all up and running.
My question is do I need to run a fuel return line?
The injector rail had no fuel pressure regulator...
I've have a though similar problems pinned it down to iver idle air control valve.
Just as a precaution use contact spray on all connection duno weather this will help.
This was a ph1 sport
What increases are there with this map?
Ive disconnected the battery and left it for 10 repotted it on and bingo immoberliser turned of but after I stoped amd turn it of again same thing happend.

but yes I had changed the reader also but still no luck.
something Tells me the chip inside the key seems to be my problem.
What would be best buy the ecu transponder reader and key????

Basically to cut to the chase have recently changed my ph2 non sport to a full ph1 172 running gear and all looms.
Car was running perfectly with no issues what so ever.
But to start with my ph1 key chip had a problem with the ph1 one donnar car originally where the car never opened...

With the engine of when I feel the dephaser i carnt feel any play but obvly with the belt on it's going to have little play with everything up tight.
I'm going to but the to buy the dephaser now £146+ vat
But does this sound more seariouse than just the dephaser as I'm paying out 5-600 for...

Basically when engine is first started up from cold engine runs perfectly has no sound of tapping or nothing.
But when engine gets up to temperature a tapping noise comes in to play reason why I say water pump is because when up to temp the fan kicks in and the rad is freezing cold as...
I'm guessing so as it's on the same loom as the fan connexions e.x and there is about 10 cm of length coming of this wire and couldn't seem to find any were for it to go but this was in my garage need to get it out in morning to get abit more light on the situation
