Ph1 172 X reg (fuel return line) ?

  1.2 daily +172 ph1
Hi all have recently done a conversion to a non sport for a track project.

I am currently using all the ph1 running gear/ loom/ fuel pump and fuel line.

Car is all up and running.

My question is do I need to run a fuel return line?
The injector rail had no fuel pressure regulator fitted is the natural for a ph1 x reg? As I assumed this naturally helped feed the fuel bk through the fuel return line.

The fuel pump it's self has to connexions 1 fuel line marked in green and the other got nothing on ATM.

Brought all parts individually for this project so I'm pretty new to all sport area

Hope someone can help thanks.

i have just put a new engine in my 172 and it has a regulator on the fuel rail. i think the overflow connects to the inlet.

the engine i removed had no regulator an no return. sounds like yours.

Yh just wondering you see because I'm running braided fuel line to the fuel rail and through all my over cars through the years it always runs a fuel return line but as I understand some ph1 later models don't run one.
