I went from a GT4 running around 300bhp to a FF 182 and haven't looked back! The first vast improvement (aside from the handling) was the mpg, my GT4 returned 14 - 17mpg and the Clio with a heavy right foot gives 30 - 33mpg Good luck with the search!

Just noticed this thread; this was my motor before the 182: Running just under 300bhp it was an excellent car in a straight line but not as trustworthy as the 182 in the twisties!

It states on the logbook it is a UK vehicle, my last car was a Japanese import and had the date of first UK registration whereas the Clio just states it is a UK car... The steering wheel is in the right place anyway so can't be French!

My Clio 182 log book has a French stamp in it, not in the service records just a company's stamp on the first page. A vague translation mentions something about exportation and the company is based in Paris. The rear tyres I think are still the originals (car has 25k on it) and has French...
