You need a special tool, GSF car parts do one for about £12, or a very slim 14mm long socket is needed. Thing with the proper tool is it has a rubber insert to help pull the plug out of the shaft. Frenchman

I have found that our clio 1.2 is very hesitant when cold, or has been left for a couple of days. It is fine when warmed up after say 5 miniutes driving. Wgat will happens is you will be driving along, and then all of a sudden the car will spring it life, or just lack power for a few seconds...

Yes the throttle body sits inside the top of the air intake box which I removed. I think the last owner "topped up" the oil prior to selling and went a bit ott (well it was a woman after all) Car doesn't burn any oil, no smoke or anything like that, did have a bit of a funny idle but a new set...

Have a 1.2 clio 2001 16v and neither of the two keys will remotely unlock the car. The light does not operate on either key, so I took them apart and found the switch missing from one of them. As the keys still works with the immobiliser, I am thinking that the cheap answer may be to purchase...
