Black, silver ( black bonnet bra) and blue I think, Sunday morning. All behind me on dual carriageway into Crawley. I was in the VX220 in front.
Should have gone out in my 182.
I saw this myself on Saturday.
It was a fella driving it. The guy saw me in my 182 coming towards me. He gave me a look and belted past me revving the nuts off it. Sounded ok.
Spotted Chessington road, coming from Horton.
I don't think I have got a leg to stand on TBH. I am not too happy with the GF leaving the car with them, thats women for you.
They have agreed to do a temp repair so we can get the car to a local mechanics.
My girlfriend took the Clio 182 in for an MOT yesterday. It failed on the exhaust, a crack on the centre section - another post for that. She left it with them whilst she went to work.
When she went to pick it up they informed her that the brake servo had gone, and we had no brakes. it...
FFS
The missus has just been down to pick up the car and now the MOT service station have told her there are no brakes..... I mean none at all.
WTF! is that some sort of crazy coincidence that the brakes should go at the same time as the MOT is being done???
My 182 just failed it's MOT on emissions, apparently on the centre section of the exhaust. The whole exhaust has got rather corroded so it is time to change for a new one anyway.
My question is, does anyone know of a place around Sussex or Surrey that would hold an exhaust for a 182, preferably...
Lost skin, lost use of my arm, my best shrt is ruined and my tears of frustration have run all down the Clio's paintwork.
My mate is bringing a larger breaker bar in tomorrow. Will see how that goes.
Yep, jacked up, wheel off.
Might need to be ramped up and a breaker bar used on it
anyone know the exact socket size? I think it is imperial. The socket I have is metric and I am now worried about rounding of the nut too.
I have just got hold of some new rear shock absorbers and thought I would have a bash at fitting them myself.
The problem is that the lower bolts are well and truly seized on. I have tried bashing them, using penetrating lubricants, spanners, socket sets, hammers, sockets with hammers, spanners...
They do seem to be pretty weak. I just ordered a set from Renault but after doing some more searching on here regarding fitting and finding so many similar threads I am wondering if I should have gone aftermarket instead :dapprove:
I have ordered 2 replacement rear dampers for my 182 Cup and will be picking them up tomorrow.
I am going to have a bash at changing them myself (I am a bit crap at working on cars) and the question I have is what size spanner/socket do I need for the bolts?
I understand you can change the...
To be honest I have not checked Renault yet, always hated giving them my money for spares because of their mark up.
was wondering if there was better aftermarket stuff available locally.
My 182 just decided to dump all of its oil all over the driveway.
My question is, where is the best place in Sussex, Crawley area to get a quick replacement.
I am about to book it in for it's service at Back On Track so will ask them to fit it for me. May as well change both rears at the same...
Heh, didn't know there was a difference in paint colours to be honest. I am a bit of a numpty when it comes to the Clio, love driving it but don't know much about it.
Well I used to live in Epsom, now moved to Crawley but often head through that way to see my kids or family in either the 182 or a Red VX220. Will look out for you again.
Yes, was the same colour, but yours was cleaner ;)
Hi there Keo.
I have a VX and a Clio 182. Are you from VX220.org? Sorry to see your incident. I know what it's like to lose one :(
The Trophy's do look great. I do like Red :D
Yesterday evening, nice red 182 Trophy behind me with white stickers low on front bumper.
Followed me from A22 through to Copthorne.
I was in front in the VX220 instead of the 182 today.
Car looked great. Love the Trophy :D
