I have been advised to change the bushes top and bottom on my rear shocks, however, I cannot find any on the internet. Am I being a tool or are they just impossible to find!? Or just looking for the wrong thing :o
I need to change all mounts and bushes for the engine and gearbox, which are the best uprated mounts and bushes to get.
Also what sorta cost for the parts? K-Tec Racing engine + gearbox mounts + bushes come to £188

Well I have the car back. All is well for now. Still not any closer as to the reason why, but the belt had slipped a tooth and everything was fully tightened.
I have a working car for now, my problems are hopefully solved
The guy who did it does it for a living. he sorted my gf's mum out with her 1.8 megane with no hitches.
I should have the car back later on today so i can get a report and post the result. i have no problem about the cambelt change, just as to why its happened.
once the belt has been tightened...
It was a professional. The garage even said it was all done correct. New belt and new tensioners. All 3 parties here are baffled by it all, as the car was perfect for over a week.
I'm just trying to see if anyone else had this problem or if I am just that unlucky!
I recently had my cambelt changed and within 10 days I have an issue. I took it to my nearest garage thinking I had a misfire. Turns out the belt had slipped one tooth and I was lucky I still had a working engine. Until I get my money back from the first cam change I have paid for a cam change...
Ive just had a similar sounding problem last night. Got home to park, when i stopped the engine died... turns over on the starter, battery light on all other electrics work. It was down on power on my journey home. Just had new plugs fitted last week but all was great until last night :(
Any...
Seen a few clios around Didcot, Silver 182 with personalised plate, Black V6 in ladygrove, 172 Cup blue in green rd and a red/orange 172 around the corner from me in ladygrove. Anyone out there!?!
Any idea of cost? just been searching through older threads... 300 seems to be a ball park figure. it only happens about 40% of the time but when i am snap changing its unavoidable.
its the only problem i have other than the previous owner's speaker choice and arrangement!!!
I have had my 172 cup about 2 months and a noob to the site.
Now I know the car better than my test drive, I have noticed a painful grind when shifting to 3rd. Is this a common problem with the gearbox?
A mate said to look at the synchros?
Advice needed!!
Cheers
