I just saw that minted have updated/replaced the M1144 with the MRM1801.
Has anyone tried them? I’ve always run oem pads but fancy something a bit more focussed now the clio is only used for fun...
Hey all,
Anyone know the history of this car?
Looks a decent deal

Have seen a few threads mentioning the calipers are the same but all of the ones for the 106/206/306 Saxo appear to have a different handbrake cable arms.
Will these actually work okay?
I scraped off the adhesive on the clip and used JB Weld plastic bond to stick it on. You can get that on amazon for about £6.
I just cleaned the tank and scuffed it up with some 240 grit paper to key it but that’s probably overkill
Yeah it looks like you're right.
I've ordered some of these: https://www.carbuilder.com/uk/self-adhesive-cable-clips-assortment
Im going to scrape the adhesive off and then use some JB weld plastic bond to stick it on where the original was but who knows how long that will last
Hi all,
Noticed mine has completely sheered off at some point and my handbrake cable is just sort of dangling down a bit and im slightly worried about my impending mot.
Has anyone had any luck replacing this and what with? I'm hoping its just one of those push fit 'fir tree' connectors and I...
Hi All,
Could anyone with the scorpion centre section help me out with any of these measurements?
I have ordered one but my OEM Cat has been the restriction/olive joint removed with a straight 57mm section welded on and will need to modify the centre section to it to sleeve on to that.
I...
Hi all, just thought I’d share my success using the ‘Elbow Grease’ and wipe method on my sticky dash parts.
I rubbed it down with some elbow grease spray and lots of clean rags to remove all of the soft touch coating then sealed it with some gtechniq C4 trim restorer.
Took about 20 minutes...
These look exactly like the ebay specials that I am replacing on the car atm.
I don’t claim to know more than ktec but all other sources say the aftermarket ones do not have the extra caster. Copy and paste job maybe? You can usually see the ball joint comes out square with the wishbone, the...
I think this is wrong. I ordered some FAI Ss129 bushes based on this and they look slightly different, with the back end of the metal sleeve tapering inwards.
On a used set of extra caster wishbones the bushing has part number 7700789477 C. have now ordere FAI SS5266 based on new part which...
Okay cool I’ll bear that in mind.
I Injected a load of cv grease in the boot hole patched the hole with a bike puncture repair kit ( LOL I know this is dumb, not doing any miles just want to not piss grease everywhere while I diagnose the noise).
The patch held on a short drive but couldn’t get...
Probably right about the grease.
Tbh as a noob that just sounds like more for me to f**k up. Im not how it would even come apart to be honest
The shaftec r218ar shafts allegedly fit perfectly and are only £120 after returning my old one.
May even end up taking a garage, as I have no time to do...
I just took it out. Its not super loud but you can ‘feel’ it the drive train and it sounds quite high energy/ under load if that makes any sense. Not a click or a clunk but a sharp bang. Like someones smacking it with a plastic mallet.
The hole is tiny so I'm going to try repacking and patching...
My GF noticed a bit of a clunk when accelerating. Its a single clunk when pulling away/ accelerating quite hard.
I checked the car over and found the OS outer cv joint boot has a small hole and has pissed grease everywhere.
Could the joint now be drying out/failing and causing the clunk? Any...
Very cool idea, here is a doc that leads me to believe the 10mm and 12mm ball joints are the same except for the mounting holes PROTIPS22410_GB.PDF (bilsteingroup.com). I currently have the Febi 10640 ones on my ebay special wishbones.
