The one I'm trying is "Clinometer v3.1 by Plaincode", it does level and incline in % or degrees, either rounded to nearest whole number or 1 dp, but sadly no minutes.
Anybody had any success with using an IPad ap to set up the geometry, specifically camber? I did a bit of searching and found a suitable free one, downloaded it, checked me camber and it gave surprisingly similar readings to stock which my car is. Not wanting to fork out for a geo check as a...
Mine failed MOT a while back as the BF Goodrich braided lines I had on broke down inside causing an imbalance, binned em off and went back to standard. They were less than a year old, heard of others on here having the same problem.
Thought it could be the braided lines but on re-reading I see they're brand new! I think it's a trait they all have due to the different length of the brake pipes on the diagonal split. How hard are you braking? Mine has always locked front left first but only under heavy heavy braking.

Anybody???
Been onto a Koni dealer today who contacted the importer, who said Koni don't supply one for the 172 Cup! I know loads have fitted a sport kit to their 172 Cups but just would like to know what product code before ordering, anybody help out??? Koni website only lists a kit for...
Evening,
Can someone just confirm the Koni product code for the full sport suspension kit (Inc springs) that'll fit a 172 cup? As far as I can tell its SSK270?

As above but important not just a normal spot,
Could the lad who has this please PM me? I'm sure you know what it's about.
I'll be able to help but gonna say no more in public!
Cheers
Dave.
After fitting my Goodridges the tester told me I needed something to hold them off the struts like a rubber donut or the original protective spring. Then the next year the rubber lining had broken down causing an MOT fail on bad left/right brake imbalance!
Cack indeed.
Brake load sensor missing? T**ers!
If it's not already on here somewhere a quick google should through up a VOSA monthly newsletter called "Testing matters" (or something) with a pic of a cup on the back page that explains the situation.
I have a PDF of it at home somewhere, I could dig it out...
I'd like similar info for Prolines on a 172 cup - Do they change the ride height any and are the spring rates anything like OE springs? Or softer/harder????
Done mine last year not too bad, about an evenings work once it's up on stands and the wheels are off. Worst bit I remember was routing the NS cable over the rear beam and once both cables are on it's just a matter of adjusting the tension on the adjuster which is best accessed by dropping one...
Yeah true.
I suppose as said above it's kinda at which pont do you stop and say it's a modified road car and not a race car. I've seen some really uber high end coilover kits that can be supplied with road and track settings for quick easy changing but we're talking mega bucks for them...
I'm torn between the two options at the mo - Coilovers v's uprated springs with adjustable dampers.
Besides price the things that are puting me off coilovers is the need for corner weighting and the fact that whenever weight is added or removed from the car (Such as a passenger) it may need...
Nice one,
Cheers Foxy - cheers Fred.
Done a bit more research into it and with the above pics has given me more confidence in the standard set up. I always slightly overfill the oil too, so don't think I'm gonna bother with it.
So cheers, thats saved me a few quid I can spend on other...
Cheers for the replies fellas.
I’ve read various posts on sites about people fabricating there own but I don’t think it’s the sort of thing I’d want to test as a prototype on my car! If any part of it comes loose could be very nasty and expensive.
I definitely think they’re a good thing...
Alright peeps,
Long time lurker and first time poster.
The sump gasket on my 172 cup is leaking and I'm about to replace it but was thinking of sticking a baffled sump on whilst it's off. Can anybody point me in the direction of any baffled sump suppliers/manufacturers as at the moment I'm...
