I've order a few sets for BMW F30 Brembo 4 pots this way without any issues.

Greenlight insurance who are/were a forum sponsor offer a good deal where they shadow your main car insurance policy, and you don't need to use your NCB with theach new policy.
You provide them with proof of a full cover policy on your BMW, they then offer a limited mileage policy on...
Last year I had the engine on my R26 fail in a big way at the main straight at Snettetton, and I was towed off recovered off the circuit and into the paddock car park.
I have breakdown cover through HSBC, I gave them a call and they dispatched a local recovery truck via Greenflag (I think). I...
As per the title really, I have ran out of time and knowledge trying to sort the car out, so its up for sale on ebay.

Nice write up. The first time I went to the 'ring was Spring 2008, and abit like yourselves, it was four seasons in one day, coupled with my first proper time out driving on track. I have managed to get back most years since, and I am hoping to get out again towards the end of the year, car...
V9 ARM - nice looking Trophy in the town centre Tesco in Stevenage Town Centre. It looks to have some trackday stickers (Javelin?) on the windscreen. Anyone on the forum?
Out of interest, how low do other people run the tread on their track tyres? I just got rid of a couple of old 888's today which were pretty much slick on the central third of the tyre, but with a very small amount of tread and the outer thirds. I only got rid as I needed to alloys to put...
One area of difference between the 172 and R26 was the brakes. I ran both with the same spec, braided lines, RBF600 fluid and CL RC6 pads with fogs removed for venting, discs were standard.
You can stamp on the 172 lap after lap, and eventually to me it feels like the tyres start to give up...
I had a 172 track car (stripped etc, but road legal) which I did loads of TD'S with. I got a decent spec R26 at the start of last year, full milltek exhaust and RST stage 1 map, better brakes, suspension and spare alloys with track tyres.
I kept the car with full interior so I could use it for...
Fair play for seeing all this work through, you must have the patience of a saint.
I remember speaking to you at Bedford earlier in the year, not long after you had got the car back from its first rebuild. I had a black R26 at the time, and I ended up putting a rod through the block at the...
I am currently in the process of removing the lower inlet from 172, as I have an RS stamped inlet to have as a replacement. I have got all the bolts out, fuel rail injectors removed etc, but the inlet doesn't want to move..
I have slackened the diagonal support for the alternator bracket (the...
I have just kept hold of parts that I have replaced as I have gone along, coil pack, HT leads, plugs, a set of injectors and a fuel rail that I am having as a swap over item should I need it. I also have a thermostat, crank sensor, extra wheel bolts and a clutch cable.
If I swapped parts as a...
@Steven103
I think the battery voltage was very similar with the engine running as to what reading I took using the original engine bay points, both about 14.4V.
Anyway, back on topic, it is worth looking into what cable you choose to use, as you can struggle with voltage drop through running an extra 5m of cable or so.
I have relocated the battery on the last two 172's that I have had, put the original full size battery into the wheel well. I kept the...
I know there have been loads of similar previous threads, but none seem to throw up the answer....
I am about to start ordering some parts for. Suspension refresh on my PH2 172, and want to make sure I order the wishbones with Max available castor that were fitted to the 172 Cup. I have been...
Just did a trackday at Rockingham last Friday with my latest 172. My brake set up is standard discs and lines, RC6 pads front and EBC yellow rear, with Motul RBF600 fluid.
I started the day with no arch liners and fog lights removed, as well as carbon canister removed and horns re positioned...
@DanielJames
Very impressive video, as well as your other Cadwell uploads on YouTube.
Are you the Dan I met at the Nurburgring last October, if so you were with another Dan who at the Ibiza Cupra?
I sold my 172 track car at the start of the year and got an R26 which had A number of goods mods for fast road / track.
Overall it didn't feel massively faster than the Clio, and the Clio was the more fun to drive/chuck around. If you haven't already, it may well be an idea to try an R26 to...
I painted my drivers side floor with some truck bed liner paint I got from Halfords. I have previously used the gripper tape, but it started lifting when it got a bit wet.
The painted floor has the same feel of the gripper tape underfoot.
I saw these low temp thermostats for the 172/182 advertised on the PMS website. The info states that they open at 75C instead of 90C, and allows the engine to "produces maximum bhp. "
Is anyone using one of these thermostats, and does it make any difference? Are there any downsides like reduced...
Matthew,
Where and when Is your trackday? It's probably worth sticking a thread on the trackday section in case other CS'S are going.
When I go to any new track, I always watch a few YouTube videos of the place to get an idea of the layout.
Also the main points have been covered already in...
How many db difference is there with decat v non decat? I have a decat in the garage, and I am in two minds whether to fit it or not, as I was told my car is currently around the 92db level. I am mindful that it could be close to track noise limits if I fit it.
I got rid of that resonance damper on my 172 when I was changing engine mounts, didnt notice any difference once it was gone. When the engine mount is removed, the weight is only held on by one bolt, so it's a straight forward job to remove.
Sorry if I've missed it, but what was causing the starting issues? I'm just doing a battery relocation at the moment on my 172, so looking to avoid any pitfalls.
