This is for my Saab. currently it has the seven speaker system (3 in dash, 2 subs/low range in front doors and 2 in parcel shelf) all running from the standard fit amp in the boot. the amp sends all the bass to the front doors only, the dash and parcel shelf speakers are mid/high range only. My...
as the title says, is this possible? Does the 0.6 make any real difference? I'm looking for some cheap wheels/tyres for my Jag but the choices are fairly limited, 5x120 is a BMW fitment so gives a few more possibilities
my blowers have stopped working. I've checked all the fuses and all are fine, so after searching on here it is most likely to be the resistor. My question is this - where is it, what does it look like and how do I change/fix it? I have just re-newed my membership hoping to find a guide/pic but...
Im gonna be bleeding my brakes this weekend so I need a definite answer please. What is the correct order to bleed them? I have searched but every thread says a different order :S.
also how much new fluid am I likely to need to do a proper job
Just fitting the crusie control from a 182 to my 172. All was pretty straight forward except i have this clutch switch (see pic). I followed this fitting guide http://www.cliosport.net/forum/showthread.php?521679-Cruise-control-on-a-RS-172-or-a-dCi-(DIY)&highlight=cruise+guide but cant see...
Found this on my driveway, anybody got any ideas what it is? its a rigid rubber/plastic pipe that smells of petrol and has been snapped at both ends. My car runs fine so not even sure it has come from it, but it is the only car that gets parked on my drive:S
imagine these wheels are rolling up towards the top of your screen, which tyre is fitted the correct way round? I think its the top pic but just want to make sure as it doesn't say anywhere on the tyre. My wheels have just been powdercoated and the guy has refitted all four tyres the same way...
I wanted to try something a bit different so bought some smoothed black bullets from a member on here, sprayed them silver and, well the pictures speak for themselves. Going to fitted to a flame red 172 tomorrow. Turned out better than i expected, really like them.
The vinyl lettering was...
I had a little with play with my laptop/OBD reader last night and was just wandering how accurate they are when timing 0-60 and 1/4 mile sprints. My car is a standard 2004 172 and all the times i recorded (about 5-6 runs)were under 6.7secs, but the best are on the pic below. Are these good, bad...
Just done an oil/filter change and found this brownish coloured connector unplugged and hanging loose. I've plugged it back in now but what is and what does it do? No idea how long its been like that but I've had no problems with the car
bought a spare set of fog light surrounds to have a play around with, quite pleased with the results as I've never wrapped anything before. also did the rear bumper trim. I will be starting a for sale thread for the original surrounds and enough spare vinyl if anyone is interested.
Next job...
Was bored, so thought i would try the camera on my phone after having the car washed. I guess they forgot the tyre gel.
Scuffed both front alloys trying to get out of the gutter in the snow, they were only 2 months old:mad:

if not, does anybody know the part number for a 2004 172 PAS pump? i need to make sure my re-conditioned pump is the correct part so that i dont look like a dick when i take it to be...
My power steering pump failed yesterday so thought i may aswell get the cambelt changed at the same time. Got a quote today for £714:eek: all in. After i picked myself up off the floor and had a closer look at the price breakdown i thought it wasn't actually too bad.
Price Breakdown inc. VAT...
As the title says, it gets louder as the revs get higher when turning the wheel. the noise is like an electric wood planer planing a door down, thats the best i can describe it. also as i pulled onto my driveway their was a burning plasticy smell coming from somewhere.
Probably nothing to do...
Its not really a problem but just wandering if all 172's are like this. My wipers sweep towards the passenger side instead of the drivers side, is this normal? anyway to change them around or would it mean a new wiper motor
this may be in the wrong section but didn't there used to be a photo gallery somewhere on this site showing all the different types of clio's? anyway, I'm looking for 172 flamer pics coz i cant decide which wheels to buy, Got my eye on a set of prorace 2 but not sure if they will look a bit...
Finally found some alloys i like, and for a good price too. Just wandering what peoples opinions are on them. 17" in white fitted to a 2004 flame red 172, please dont say i should get 16's instead because i already have a set of tyres to go on these.
all comments welcome good or bad
Did any clio's come with power folding mirrors? I could do with fitting a set to my 2004 172, I've searched the forum and ebay but couldn't find anything.
cheers
first of all im driving a 2004 flame red 172. I just tried changing the spark plugs, stripped it all down only to realise i don't have a socket that fits the plugs. so i put it all back together again, start the engine and the rev's shoot upto 4.5K rpm. Wtf have i done?
I just fitted some LED sidelights to my 2004 Clio 172 xenons and noticed the passenger side headlight inner was loose and wobbly. I dont know if i caused it or not but from looking around the forum i figure i have knocked it of the auto adjuster. I've removed the adjuster and now im stuck, how...
