Well in my opinion theres better accelaraition from low down,and my 5k kick is basically gone,just revs hard smoothly past it. Here are the part numbs 4 it,as i dont know what year it came off. Vw,audi part number 022133062ac. Bosch part numb 0280750097. Hope this helps.
Just a little bit of info if any1 wants to fit a larger throttle body,the golf 4 motion 2.8 v6 bosch item fits the clio 172 with a little bit of fettling. 2 bolt holes line up perfect and the otha 2 just has to hav the holes on the throttle widend a few mm. Apart from this it plugs up and runs...
FRANKENSTEINS ALIVE,LOL. :cool:. Changed sum fuses and relays then the imob light stayed on solid, then my battery died from being cranked over a billion times.lol. charged it up, reconnected it and she fired up.
after changing a few fuses and relays i have change now. still wont start,but the imob light is fashing fast on the dash and nothing happens when i turn it over! could this be the transpoder ring 4 the key?
AM i right in thinking the 172 when the ignition is turned on, it makes a kind of buzzing noise in the engine bay somewhere! where does this noise come from? coz mine is making no noise atall.
all the plugs are getting a spark to. happened over about 5 days, sometimes it would start and the next morn it wouldent! now it wont atall. tried roll start to.
hi, yeah the fuel pump is working and pressure at the rail. pulled the fuel pipe off the rail and got a mate to turn it over and it pumps fuel. did the same with the injectors,but the injectors are not working.
Hi fellow clio lovers, been tryn 2 start my 172 cup for the last 2 days and now im completely baffled. The engine turns over fine, first i checked all fuses and relays, then i made sure pump was working and plugs firing properly, so after all this i read about tdc sensor and changed this 2day...
Thanks loads 4 the pic and info,helps me a bit more. i think it somthing i could do,i work in an engineering company,so got no worries about the drilling and cutting bussiness. looks real good under the hood 2,brings it up 2 date a bit. just looking for a few mods b4 i eventually get it mapped. :)
Well i dont know if its gonna make any difference atall,but im working on a spair 1 in work. im boring it thru bigger, it can only go 2 to 3mm max wider tho. will be done mid week so i will let you know. it aint costing anything bare a bit of time, so i thought id give it a crack. quite hard...

I put my 172 on a local dyno other day and it produced 165.8 bhp at 6700 rpm but the tourqe was 123! How is this? coz i thought they were 172bhp iwernt to happy,lol.
HI EVERY1. Just wondered what roughly is the average bhp and tourqe output of the 172,s after a decat and system with a good panel filter? do they usually make more than the 172 they came from the factory with. considering they have had a good few years use.
its not right up to the butterfly valve,but pretty close front and rear! seems to drive perfect,just like b4. but more responsive with a rubbish indution filter. ive put the original box back on 4 now tho. any recomendations on a good induction kit?
