quick question regarding selling my car.....
hi, going to sell my 52 plate 172cup (79k miles), will tax and mot it prior to selling. Only "problem" with the car is that it needs a belt change/dephaser pulley........would this affect the sale price or not.
How much would people think it's...
cheers guys...as for tidyness...its average I guess, theres a tiny dint in the nearside back quarter, and the front bumper is getting resprayed next week so hopefully will look mint in a couple of weeks :)
Hi, I'm thinking of selling my 172 cup. It's currently in the body shop as an old fart bumped the bumper but it needs cambelt/aux belt/dephaser pulley and a service.
I'm just a little unsure whether to pay odd £600 odd for the above to sort it then sell it OR sell it as is?
Thanks
Tom
ha ha I like it. Cheers for your tips toby, will look into it maybe next week. I don't mind budget wise so long as I'm doing it properly and can see inmprovements :)
Thanks again.
Hi, I'll be honest...I don't really have a clue on car detailing. I wash my car and occassionally use SPR on it then I think "WOW..look at all the scratches etc"
Can someone please help me in what stuff to use i.e. clay, wax and gloss?
I had a read this morning and it seems to be like this...
Your best bet is to find some spares fella or buy them already carbon wrapped. I got a front one from Chris Powell.....not sure if he's still doing them. Then that way you still have your shiny ones.
Mines on a blue 172 cup but can try and get a pic up later if you want mate?
mines doing a similar sort of thing mate, I just posted a new thread before.
Dunn mentioned taking it to get full diagnostic check to find out the problem..... just to let you know :)
Cheers, where is a tdc sensor? and I think it's definitly the dephaser then. Although might be the other way around.....noisy when cold, not as bad once warm (whilst driving).
Any ideas on a specialist mate, I live in Barrow in Cumbria....
Cheers
Hi, my car seems to occasionally not start (only recently), sounds a lot like a diesel, and just is running a little "off" to me. I don't have much experience with fixing cars but after what I've been reading I think it needs a set of plugs, also cambelt/aux belt with dephaser pulley too...
