    Clio 3 CAN Baud rate?

Anybody know the Baud rate (speed) for the Clio 3 CAN system? I'm guessing its either going to be 125Kbps or 500Kbps but it would be handy to know for sure.

Choosing a head, 182 vs 172, replacing the valves and general head replacement

as a generic price I was given for a 16V head it was just shy of the £200 mark... purely for guides, then the rest of the work you'd want/need doing like cutting the seats etc.

Choosing a head, 182 vs 172, replacing the valves and general head replacement

Use whichever head has the least number of cracked guides... They are proper money to replace :(

    Brake lines and fluid

You said the fluid I mentioned, aside from superblue (which you had already said about) I simply said I got the 5.1 from a local motorfactors ;) Would probably cost more in postage alone to buy that kinda stuff online.

    Omex vs GEN90 vs EC-1

Anyone got a wiring diagram for the OEM dash, just to see if a little circuit could be made up to replace the OEM PCM functions that supply the dash (I assume its just the rev counter and EML (oh and shift light) ? I hate these PCM suppliers that lock down the calibration software... their...

    Brake lines and fluid

erm no, but if you goto your local motorfactors in person (crazy idea I know lol) they should have something of the £3/litre nature there...

    Brake lines and fluid

easybleeds are about the best tool you can buy for less than £20. just make sure you only have 10psi MAX!!!!! in the tyre supplying the air. I'm no longer a fan of ATE superlbue, while its excellent it also stains your brake lines blue and makes bleeding normal fluid through a pain :( I ran...

    Track Brake Pads (again, sorry!)

IMe I rate pfb97's and CL5+'s in nearly the same boat/regard :) only thing is 5+ dust is a damn site easier to leave for months and months and wash off than needing a wheel refurb when doing the same with 97's lol both are phenomenal pads for the minimal money they cost (in the grand scheme of...

have u guys heard of a new clio 182 engine mod by ktec

That simply looks like they wanted a higher flowing plenum based intake manifold and bizzarly the jenvey plenum + TB's was possibly the best value way of doing it.

HVAC controls, how 'complicated' are they?

So then, the Clio RS 'climate' control panel.... What are its outputs? Is it a simple AC compressor on/off system which then mixes warm air in? Is the vent direction control done with one or more actuators? Is the cabin fan controlled direct from the controller or does it goto another unit...

    Average 22.5 mpg

I think I had my 3.0 V6 omega down at 5mpg when I was driving 2 miles each way to work for a while lol Not a blast... just a nice normal drive to see if its screwed or if the problem with the MPG is the throttle pedal control ;)

    RSTuner from fastchip

Will it ever be a semi proper cal tool like the Saab Tronic suite is? I'd consider something if it meant I had control over the changes and could do the arse dynoing to determine a good/bad change etc.

    Prima racing uprated exhaust mount

now where did I say the £70 answer was BETTER than yours?... aside from the total lack of effort needed to fit. Either way the end solution is the one we both wanted.
  24. S

    Prima racing uprated exhaust mount

The prima ones arent made from spherical bearings lol, there is still give to damp out vibrations and movement, just they dont fail. Yes you had a cheap'n'cheerful way to fix it but tbh I like the ease of unbolt one mount, replace, unbolt other mount, replace :) £70 is nothing really compared...
  25. S

    Prima racing uprated exhaust mount

Seems no worse than normal.... then again a normal 182 is a vibrating/noisy place to be anyway
  26. S

    Prima racing uprated exhaust mount

yes (well pretty much solid, there is some give) And I've not noticed any extra vibration... I mean the 182 is an NVH nightmare so I dont think an extra noise/vibration would be noticeable lol

    Webber 40s

40's would be a touch small imho, EG on a vauxhall 20XE you get no gain in peak power but midrange torque is up. 45+'s would be better, although to be fair FUEL INJECTION would be even better ;)
