Could it have something to do with how the car is broken in? some people here have broken 172s in gently and others have just thraped them from day one. Just a thought.

yeah, i have seen one in the flesh and the colour is fantastic i agree, just that i am getting a 172 and have seen a black and silver one together and the silver defines the cars shape better, the pic just shows it really

check the thread about 2 172s v cup, its interesting how the silver 172s show the shape of the front of the car better, it seems more defined, its swinging me towards a silver 172 instead of black

agreed, like my mate who just had a brand new mgzr 160 in blue, the most common colour there is !!!! dont mind the cleaning too much really, the black does look nice when shined aswell !!!

Have not seen it yet, just found it, must admit it does look like a bargain though. Did not really want to buy my 172 yet, but when a deal like this comes along, plus I wanted iceberg silver, the black is nice though :)
