just got the car back there now, it was the air box and throttle body they're weren't sitting on the engine properly...couple bolts of the air box snapped which was the clunch noise. so all sorted :D

Right lads, got a serious problem the car broke down last night....I was sitting in traffic and when I was pulling away there was a loud clunk from the engine bay then it stalled. When I restarted the engine it revved up to aroud 5000 rpm by it self and then the revs dropped right to the bottom...

been looking around at capacitors for sound systems and there has been mixed reviews about them. I have a 600W inphase amp which often stops working whenever I have the stereo volume above 20 and have begun to notice the dials and headlights dim whenever the sub is really going hard. Any advice...

just back from checking the spark plugs again, 3/4 are sparking and after switching the spark plug that wasn't sparking with one that was, there's still no spark...which makes me think its either the coil pack or the wiring for the coil pack.

Hey guys, this is going to be a long post so here it goes... Yesterday I had my M.O.T, so I went to get the car cleaned underneath but the idiot who did it sprayed the engine as well. So on my way to the M.O.T afterwards I noticed the car wasn't driving right at all, was seriously down on power...

not sure what the sump plug is in my car, halfords thought it would be a taken out by a 8mm square alan key but its too big, anyone any idea?

Hi guys, just been out to clean the car and noticed the left rear belt wasn't fully retracted and when I tried to pull on it, it wouldn't move. Any suggestions on how I can get at it and fix it? been trying to get the panel off for the past hour and I'm afraid of breaking something. :banghead:

considering painting my stock wheels black but not sure what paint I should use, would halfords car body spray paint be alright?

cause its getting hard to get into some gears.

Hey guys, I've been wanting to get a new clutch for a while and feel like my old is on its way out. I havent a clue what to look for when it comes to clutches and I would like a sports one to give my car a lil more performance. Anyone any ideas where i could get one??

hey guys, i drive a 2000 clio sport and the speedo decides to stop working at times. recently its just died and ive had to judge my speed accordingly to other cars :S but the day after it works again. anyone any ideas if its the dials or the actual speedo down by the gear box??

hey, I bought black side indicators to replace the orange ones on my 2000 clio, haven't had much luck getting them off though. Anyone any idea how to change them?? :S

hey, I have a JA590 amp and I cant get it off protection mode. I know this is usually caused by the ground but its been checked many times and doesn't seem to be faulty....anyone with ideas would be appreciated.

why would juice issue an amp with 30A fuse if it isn't strong enough? and it'll be hard finding out the exact numbers for the formulas, the headunit and sub are working fine.

30A, i was given it for xmas. yeh i sanded down the paint to have better conduction and it wont corrode because its inside the car

hey just in from working on the sound system and still no luck what so ever. I sanded the paint off both the bolt at the back of the boot and down by the seat belt but his time the fuse blows when I hook the battery back up with out having the sound system turned on or my keys in the ignition...

yeh i pretty it is, but im going to check on sunday when im free. do you think any of the other fuses in the car have blown causing it the amp's fuse to blow?

yeh i'll try that, its really weird though cause the sound system runs fine but if i turn any of my lights on the fuse goes.

no i havent taken the paint off, think that could be the problem??
