Under hard braking my 172 has started pulling to the left quite noticably which is quite disconcerting when scrubbing off speed. When I had it MOT'd they did say the front brake balance was out slightly but it has got noticably worse since then. What is it likely to be the cause? Cheers...

It still starts first time but doesn't inspire confidence the way it turns over.

When I leave my Clio overnight my trip computer is resetting. The starter motor also doesn't seem to turn over with its usual gusto. Is this an indication that the battery is on its way out or could it be something else? Cheers, Darren

I bought the stealth system for my Mk1 172 a couple of years ago. Cost me £270 I think. Still happy with it.

You will be lucky to find a standard one. Be sure to get one with the Prodrive/Alcon brake kit or an aftermarket AP kit as the standard ones are pants. Don't touch any without full service history or with iffy induction kits fitted. I would be happier with one that has had an aftermarket...

When I reverse with a bit of lock on, I have started getting a knocking sound from the near side front wheel and can feel some resistance. When I had the car MOTed last month, it passed no problem but they said that the brake balance on the front was a bit off and I might have a sticking...

As said, don't waste money on the rears, they are good enough. I have the k-tec kevlars on the front and they are basically oem replacement pads. No noticeable improvement over the oem pads but definately less brake dust. If the front discs are worn then just get the vented Brembo discs to...

I've got the Pros and am very happy with them. A big improvement in handling with minimal impact on ride. Another advantage is that being OEM black, your car doesn't look modified.

Not easy at all. The extra weight is due to it's greater impact protection and is inherent with the chassis design. Believe me, the Clio/Micra shell provides stunning protection for both driver and passengers. In the accidents I have seen, it's as if there is an invisible full roll cage fitted...

STAY THE FECK AWAY FROM MR CLUTCH!!!!!!! They are a bunch of muppets. A Quik Fit fitter is an F1 mechanic by comparison. They use reconditioned clutches as well. Do yourself a bit favour and cancel the appointment.

I've found that the k-tec pads perform at least as well as oem pads with far less brake dust. No issues with glazing here.

Does the fuel regulator mean that a remap isn't nessessary? Can you tell me how much it all was please?
