This is how the car stands at the moment.
Well that's pretty much it as it stands apart from the fact that my brother has forgotten the budget side of things and bought these!!
This is the second part of our project build for our budget track car, after we got back from Combe we started looking on how we could improve things, we noticed that the cheap and cheerful wheels we had for our dry tyres where also incredibly heavy!! We purchased some of these Cruize 15" alloys...
Haven't been on here for a while so thought I'd update with a new thread the work that have I have done with help from my brother to get the road going clio below that I bought to the track toy we now have. We have done all the work ourselves (well my brother has done the technical as he's the...

Got them on ebay, Sprayed them grey and bonded them directly into the surrounds. Link is above
Got these 15" Cruize alloys the other week and had them powdercoated grey, well happy with the results especially when we had them shod with used Pirelli slicks, they were superb at Keevil last Saturday. The grip is just amazing!!
I had this and it was actually coming in through the bump stops for the tailgate by the rear lights! Could be there, I certainly wasn't expecting it but you never know.
Yeah, the Pink 'uns where one of those little whims that you get, although they do look good on track, I still love the Turbines, think I might make those my Dry wheels and the Pink ones my Wet ones.
Just thought I'd put a quick history of my Clio up, I have been on here previously but not for a while.

Bought the Clio in Aug 2011 for a silly cheap price as it was always my intention of eventually tracking it...
It actually wasn't that bad, my brother had some brake cleaner in the van and that actually got it off pretty quickly.
Don't know what long term damage it did but this was the car later in the day
And a pic of the Fiesta, was a nice example
Did the first Track Day with the car stripped out at Castle Combe on April 19th, great day and what a difference the weight savings make!
These guys turned up and weren't very happy, driven all the way from Essex with brake fliud from the Fiesta pissing all over the Cossie!!
Not a pain really no. Just take your time and offer it up before you get the silicon out so you have it in your head what your doing would be my advice.
I haven't got a filter as they are cooling ducts for the brakes rather than induction.
Not perfectly no, the fog light holes are oval but you can get them fairly in the centre and then bond them. You have to go pretty heavy on the bonding silicon but it does work.
Got them off eBay, had to bond them in but once they're in they seem to stay there. I sprayed them Graphite grey as well.

Has anybody ever fitted a new windscreen on a Clio Mark 2??
My 172 has been taken off the road to be used as a track car only and so is SORN and uninsured, me and my brother were working on the roll cage and managed to put a large crack in the windscreen.
No insuranace cover and Autoglass...
