Windscreen Replacement

Has anybody ever fitted a new windscreen on a Clio Mark 2??

My 172 has been taken off the road to be used as a track car only and so is SORN and uninsured, me and my brother were working on the roll cage and managed to put a large crack in the windscreen.

No insuranace cover and Autoglass want 300 quid to come and replace!!

Just wondering whether anybody had tackled this before??

I'd fit a heated one if I were you.

I had one in my 182 and it was amazing.

Wont be hard. Windscreen trims off. And then use a bonding cutter to cut the window out.

Clean the metal frame up. And bond the new one in.

Can get the tool off ebay for £15

IIRC BIGASH posted about fitting windscreens a few weeks back as he had a bit of bother with one on his track car.
