i have noticed that its best performance is when you just start it, but you cant enjoy it coz of engine wear :(
shame need to get some sorta swith to fool the ecu in thinking you have just started the engine
any one know how to do this as a friend has just got a 172 and installed the clifford engine start thing but the chip in the key needs to be right in the ignightion barrall for it to start,
Also any know the price to get the key reprogrammed??
Thanks

it would be good if we could do some research into this, if you think about it when you stick an induction kit on your car you are increasing the air so this "chip" could compensate (or does the ecu do this already???) perhaps we could develop it and saves ££££ against superchips???
mine came from them and didnt have an alarm and i had no idea untill recently, because its still got a flashing light!!!?? anyway just booked a clifford solaris for tuesday:o)
The mpg counter (on the 172) gives you an average mpg since the last reset! to get an accurate mpg go at the speed you wish to measure then reset the mpg counter go for 1 or 2 miles(might be more??) and thats your reading
mines 32 to 36.8 but once had it at 46 going down hill outta gear lol, I am going to see what an eco-tech does with the mpg on the ecu going to fit on weekend.
