I have the obligatory "First Car Induction Kit" on mine. A K&N Apollo fully enclosed with a Cold Air Feed.
I'm averaging 49.8 according to the trip computer atm. That's a few motorway miles but mostly urban driving! Not bad IMO!
How much would you charge mate?
I've done the Hazard Panel and Window Switches myself (the easy bits!!) Looking to have the dials done white and the Computer Display Blue? Maybe a blue centre clock too?
Thanks mate!
When my clutch went on my 1.2 it didn't feel juddery or 'stall like'; More like a lack of power through slipping. Basically, imagine revving through first gear and then pressing your clutch in while keeping the accelerator down. Like that.
Had mine replaced and the bite is still pretty high...
As above I would try plugs and leads first tbh. :)
I had the wiring loom issue with my 1.2 - didn't cause a misfire though. Either the engine went into limp home mode or just cut out all together! Not a nice problem!
This happened to mine after purchase (typical!). Had the throttle body replaced and it fixed it temporarily. It has reoccured again since, although not as severely.
I've changed the following:
TDC Sensor
Coil Pack
Spark Plugs
None of the above fixed the issue. Every now and then the weird...
Yeah it's got a glue on it but behind the sun visors there is a gap. If you make just enough room at the top of the A-Pillars you can feed the wires through :)
I've installed blue footwell lights in my clio mate. If you want I can post a picture when I'm home from work of the wiring at the light?
As far as the headlining goes; it's a pain to feed the wires through but it's possible without ruining it haha!
My 1.2 Dynamique does this during the Winter months mate. (It's a different engine - 16v version but the same principal applies)
Go for a decent long drive; get the engine nice and hot, this should evaporate the condensation and leave no 'mayo' around the cap :)
I haven't done the speedo itself but have swapped the orange LED's for blue on the window switches, lock light and rear window de-mister above the head unit.
That was relatively easy to do :) I've heard that some guys on here can do the speedo conversion for a price though! :)
The badges and alloys are in serious need of a refurb due to British weather. Tempted to go for a colour change at the same time!
Could some kind soul possibly photoshop some of the pics from this thread for me? Blue alloys with white diamonds; blue badges and blue bullets with a white "1.2...
I bought a K&N 57i Induction Kit for £60 brand new. Not gunna lie; don't expect any huge power gains from it, an improved throttle response is the buk of it.
However the engine noise has become a lot nicer! Especially between 3k-4k :)
If I remember rightly you can take the inside boot card off (1 screw and a few clips) to reveal the back of the boot mechanism. Unbolt the boot mech and the entire diamond and raised section comes off together; then it's just a case of popping the diamond out (hair dryer to soften the glue...
