As anyone who...

Rigid brake pipes weren't in the best of condition, also someone saw fit to change just the one rear shock absorber at some point...as you do. No great drama, plan was to refurb rear brakes, fresh discs and pads and braided lines.

A short introduction to my 182,both cup packs, bought because the shell was really solid but mechanically tired which suited me perfectly as my plan was to refresh it and use it to drive to track and join in with friends on track days. This is all the fault of a friend of mine who let me drive...

    182 CV Gaitors

Engine and gearbox are out of the car at the moment and I thought it would be a good idea to strip/inspect the drive shafts and re build with new gaitors. I contacted Renault and have been told that new components are no longer available...brill Has anyone purchased gaitors recently that were...

    Damaged rocker cover....removal steps 182

Managed to damage the valve cover on my 182 while removing the engine. I know the cover also secures the cams, I have the Renault tools to lock the cams in place, do the inlet/exhaust pulleys also need to come off to remove the cover? Any recommendations on the best sealant to use when re...

Rear beam removed, anyone know the part no for the clips that I've broken?

I suppose their only purpose is to stop the bolt turning so no harm holding it in place with mole grips, same end result. Cheers

Rear beam removed, anyone know the part no for the clips that I've broken?

The six bolts that secure the two brackets that the rear beam attaches to put up a right fight but i got there in the end, the casualty in this battle were the clips that sit under the head of the bolts that you get at under the rear seat of the car. Does anyone know if i can replace the clips...

172/182 vs modern hot hatches. On track....

Slightly off topic.. i had the opportunity to drive a Hyundai Ni30 that we had as a demonstrator at work, i loved it, fun with a capital F, i also got to drive a friends 172 cup, stupid big grin plastered over my face after that too. I don't doubt for a second that the Hyundai was the quicker...

Suspension cup pack - DO I HAVE IT? (Sorry for posting this!)

If you take a front wheel off you will see the hub, which has the brake caliper and brake disc attached to it. The upper part of the hub has two bolts that clamp the shock absorber. Its the distance between the centre of these two bolts that determines if you have cup hubs fitted or not. If it...
