didnt smoke when i first bought it... it required new coil pencils. was in limp mode when i bought it, since i have changed the coil pencils its smoked. i have changed them around, put over coil pencils in, changed plugs,.

ive ordered some injectors as ive heard that can cause white smoke and smell of petrol if the injector is open. colours of smokes can differ.

umm. it been running for at least 3 hours in total and the same. its not the head gasket. ruled that out.

Still got the same problem. 2 years it has been stood, changed oil, spark plugs, Air filter, Coil pack, top up of fuel and has white smoke out of the exhaust and smell of unburnt fuel. Possible overfueling.... Any ideas? It isnt the head as the compression is fine, no water in oil or vice...

yeah, just cant see it been the radiator........... its more engine management or sensor telling engine to over fuel.... plus dont know what the smoke is all about.

got a 1.6 clio. only 44k on clock, been stood for 2 years. problem is when i bought it it req new coil pencils. so it wasnt running correctly. no smoke from exhaust at all. got it home ok. engine management light was on. changed the coil pack, spark plugs, oil then started it up. sounds ok...

yeah true. tbh i only want £600 for the clio and £600 for the Megane so that would give me a nice £1200 to get a 172.

got a 2001 renault megane coupe dynamic + with 44k, no mot or no tax. got that for £295 but still working on what i should do with it.

nothing... When i bought it, he already replaced the drivers door, and pulled the quater panel out. I had the job of filling,smoothing and Painting it. Then a VIC Check which was £50. mot £35 and it passed. engine done 105k but still running great.

Hi, Got a meg 1.6 only 44k with basically the k4m engine ***Same as Clio*** it starts fine then a coupe of sec later it idles abit funny, and starts with a bit of white smoke. Does get worse when warmed up and reving it. Its not the head as pressure tested it. Does seem to be overfueling as...

the meg isnt in the best of conditions, doors pranged. only thing i want from it is the engine. i like the meg coupe tho. just put the meg on ebay. the clio has been good to me, done 5k no prob since bought it for £200

Bought for £200:) was cat c but repaired myself 1.4 sport Plans 1.6 16v conversion. Lowered with megane coupe 15s alloys full stanless steel exhaust Decided to paint wing mirrors silver like the new clios currently have a williams backbox that i modified to fit. comments please

i know but ive got the time. its only 75bhp the 1.4 8v so 35bhp, full stanless exhaust, fast road cams so hope to be look at least a 50bhp difference. I think the k4m engine is a good engine. and i know the engine hasnt been hammered.

Hi, Got a renault megane coupe with a 1.6 engine.. 44k on the clock. Wanting to do an engine conversion on my clio 1.4 Just wondering if anyone has done this before and what do i need of my megane before i scrap it. I know they is already a 1.6 clio but my clio shell and inside is spotless...

ahh you see it is a project. Going to put coupe alloys on clio once painted, lower, 2.0 ide engine in the clio.

Hi, Bought a Clio s 1.4 about 4 months ago for £200. Currently got a 51 Plate Renault megane coupe Dynamic + breaking and wondering if the front seats would fit the clio as they are half leather.
