Its second one I've ever seen, the first time I saw one was on the way to a meet and had to avoid rear ending him as he came across 2 lanes avoiding some idiot.
Had a bit of a race out the toll booth then followed me down the m6 then lost sight on the m42 then met the megane again on the m40 and drove all way to the Warwick/Coventry round about.
Put smile on my face. I've had my 182 for a year now and spent 3k on it and far from finished, I've tried to do things before they become a problem. It's same with the box I don't want some thing that may or may not die specially when I go high boost as it increases the chances.
Yeah I want to fit a diff to it and £1700 isn't bad, maybe a lot of effort my self but I have a mechanic friend and plenty of space to do it so might as well save the labour cost if I have to drop a forge engine in
What is involved with fitting a 02m gearbox to clio 182 ?
Also are the ratios much different to the standard 182 box ?
Will it affect acceleration, it will be fitted after low boost ready for high boost.
Thanks in advance.
This is what I was going to upgrade to once I get the forged engine in. http://www.rstuning.co.uk/turbochargers-and-accessories-c-85/renault-c-85_87/megane-225r26r26r-c-85_87_118/renault-megane-rs-hybrid-turbo-rebuild-p-274.html
I you can run using a standard ecu but it's limited you would be better using a piggy back ecu to control the engine and sensors, it will make it more reliable and easier to map specially if you go for higher power.
If you take off the 182 top inlet there is a breather on the cam cover. If you have itbs or different inlet is there something suppose to cover the breather ? I've looked at different ones done are bare others have plates.
Seen a few people do it, it's good way of going about it, specially as the car isn't in bits for too long. I will be sending the standard megane turbo off for a hybrid one that goes to 350hp which hopefully make spool up time less but not quite running out of puff at the end
