Hi folks,
I've just had to replace the solenoid that forms part of the locking mechanism, and this obviously involves removing some of the plastic trim from the bootlid. The problem is that one of the clips securing he bootlid has gone walkabout and I'm now being subjected to another very...
Just thought I would post my dealings with Renault over this issue...........I contacted Customer Services a few weeks back now as the right thumb grip on my 05 182 was all but hanging off. I spoke to the Customer Services Manager who in all fairness was a nice guy. Basically I used the line...
I'm yet to do mine, but when I do I will be using Autoglym Engine and Machine degreaser agitated over the engine bay with a brush. However before you even start this make sure filter opening, sparks, battery terminals are covered up with a bag/cling film as you will need to carefully hose off...
Sorry to hear that mate, thats even worse! So you have been dealing directly with Renault UK then and not your dealer over the matter? I think I will drop them a line as well in that case.
I ordered a new 182 on 15 August, and now after being given 4 different dates have been told the car will arrive on 15 November. Anybody else found they have had to wait this long recently?
I'm not stuck for a car in any way and got this one on F&F so I shouldn't appear too ungrateful, but 3...
Parked up on the Crown pub car park about 1.15pm. That really is one fine looking machine!
Seem to recall that Walker Renault have a demo model in so could possibly be from there - anyone from here taken it out yet??
Saw you in a queue of traffic near to Wordsley Hospital this morning - didnt see you until quite late as I was pre-occupied with a rather attractive lady driving a Ka in front of me, otherwise I would have flashed!
Car looks stunning mate, you must be well chuffed.
The three bleeps means that your alarm has not engaged properly I think, and I know a number of people have had a problem on this. I seem to recall a thread on this where somebody mentioned Renault had acknowledged it as a problem, but it is simple to put right if taken back to the dealership.
A good mate of mine works for the Seat touring car team - I have asked him to ask Plato if he knows anything about this review so hopefully will be able to find out what was said!
Nice to know there a few other cliosporters knocking round the local area! Could well be the same guesty, certainly the only silver vee I have seen in the area.
I saw my first racing blue 182 ever at a dealership earlier today, it had the stripes and I thought it looked fantastic! The racing blue really needs to be seen in the flesh to be appreciated, top colour.
Pulled up at the side of the road about 5 ish tonight just up from the hospital entrance, driver was chatting with somebody on the pavement - anybody here?
Over the last few weeks, Ive noticed when the car is idling, it is juddering quite a lot. It doesnt matter if the engine is warm or cold, I just tend get shaken all over the place! Its been back to the dealership once where they apparently had a bit of a fiddle around with the throttle body to...
Mike Tew perhaps? Balding grey at the sides? Really top bloke!! Definitely post pics when you get it though, but I hope I get to see it in the flesh when youre driving round!
Yeah thats where mine is from too, nice bunch there arent they?! Who did you talk to there? I drive a titanium silver one, have only seen another two knocking around in Stourbridge before.
I picked a titanium touch up pencil from a Renault dealership last week. The ref no is 77 11 172 123 (a lot of the paint codes are listed in the Paint Codes thread on Exterior, Power, Mechanical). It consists of the actual touch up pencil and a pot of varnish.
Where did you end up getting it from mate? I remember you posting a few days ago about Walker Renault. Will be good to have another 182 driver in the locality!
Av-Dave
I live in Wollaston just down the road from you, got mine from Renault Wolverhampton and I found them to be much better than Walker Renault. Alternatively, have you checked out any of the internet sites? At the moment newcarsonline.co.uk who are doing the 182 for £11400, although I...
Not heard any feedback from people after using Autoglym paint restorer, but I know Meguiars do Scratch X which is a very good product. There are a few other products I think you can use at http://www.seriousperformance.co.ukwww.seriousperformance.co.uk, best bet might be to e mail the guy there...
I owned a Cup and never found the lack of ABS to be of any real great worry. As mentioned quite a few times already, drive like a tit and you may lock up and cause yourself all sorts of problems.
I think its important to remember overall that Clios (certainly the modern ones) are very safe...
I was very glad to be driving a Clio (Cup) when someone decided to pull out on me on a dual carriageway - it without doubt saved my life, Im just very sorry the same cant be said for the other party involved :(
Following an accident in Dec 2003, I have today received final notification that the case is closed, no claims bonus restored etc etc. Just curious to know how long other people have had to wait before their cases have been fully resolved?
Whereabouts you from mate?
Have you tried any internet sites? Some may have them in stock, when I was looking I did a quick search of the sites and one or two seemed to be knocking about and because it was the net they were decent prices.
