iv seen them fail at my garage for different rim and different tyre sizes on the same axle. Unless it's changed recently I'm not a tester myself so I don't know all the legislation how would the tester know the rolling circumference? Have to work it out? Or measure it? Iv never seen it done but...
Different size wheel on the same axle is a fail yes so you can't fit the spare. Iv seen wheels fail for cracks but I'm not sure about that. A lot of it is down to the tester themselves but I think they would to cover themselves.
It is true mate I had the same pipe on mine for MOT and its a dealer only part came with the bends but didn't quite match up so had to bend it bait myself think it was about £30
When mine does this I pull the engine management fuse out with ign on and shove it back in again then it starts. Nobody could give me an explanation for it. Also only happens when parked facing downhill.
Had this on my megane went really heavy/squeaked and bait notchy not smooth to depress. Changed the cable and it was so much lighter. Took the old one apart found it very hard to move the cable in and out of its tube it was full of dirt and rubber that had gathered over the years. Think I've got...
I know disconnecting battery's on vw's brings on lights randomly that can take a while to go out and can't be erased. Not sure what it means but I'd turn it off and start it a couple of times and drive it. If not could need other diagnostic equipment to erase?
If it is a 1.2 it's probably drum brakes on the back. Any excessive noise after and continuing now? Seen brake shoe linings rip off after stuck on but could have just been them freeing off.
Haven't had chance to get a picture but its a clio 182 and the sensor is just underneath the injectors and above the oil filter. Knock sensor? Looks like a torx drive bolt to take it out.
I don't know the nut size probably around 30mm if its like my old megane drums take the centre nut off, wiggle off drum using 2 screwdrivers or some wacks with a hammer if its being stubborn. Bearing will be inside the drum I would take the drums to a garage that has a proper hydraulic press...
Well had the problem repeat itself on me 3 times now have only had chance to look at it on my breaks at work I still believe it to be a relay but not that particular one, anyone have a 182 fuse and relay diagram or info on what does what? Will update if I find out more.
Car had the solid immobiliser light on dash. It would sometimes turn over for 3 seconds and stop but if you turned the key slowly it wouldn't turn over at all. I was told this was an immobiliser fault by the rac man with my key not being recognised or the ring at the ignition barrel not working...
It crunches because reverse does not have synchro on it so the engine speed has to be right, go to fast trying to put it in and it will make a crunch noise. Reverse is also a straight cut gear so that also makes it harder to get in there i believe and thats why you get a whine from your gearbox...
Hi iv just got myself a 182 sport ph2 and it has abit of a lump idle, feels to me like a missfire but the revs dont change, its smooth accelerating and definately no loss of power. iv read the ECU for fault codes at work but nothing. anyone have any ideas? or suffered a similar issue? thanks.
Hi, bought my clio 182 a few days ago and i love it! great fun to drive. had it up on the ramp at work the other day and there are a few issues but its 8 years old and done 90,000 so you cant expect perfection. only thing is that it is quite lumpy on idle, no other time with no rev drop or...
