My 1.2 has just been written off, but I did a few things to mine:
Colour the diamonds & side bullets.
K&N air filter (does nothing for your mpg, but gives a nice sound).
Upgrade your head unit and speakers.
I am selling the induction kit, it's done around 3k miles, and I've cleaned it every 1000 miles. I can also provide the K&N oil and cleaner. Just need to check postage costs before I give you a price
Some t**t hit my rear passenger side wheel doing 30mph, which has bent my axle and fucked everything that side of the car, so it's been written off! I'll be buying a tidy looking 182 in the next month (silver lining and all that), and I'll be making a thread for it.
Or just save your money, I was going to lower my 2005 Extreme 4, but I've decided to just do a few interior/exterior bits to make it look good. It's much better to just save your money for a better car in a year or so. I'm getting a 182 Trophy next April hopefully! :approve:
I think its active. I've got an In-Phase IPX900 2-channel amplifier (http://www.caraudiocentre.co.uk/product_m-in-phase-ipx900_p-23988.htm). I'm bridging both channels to my Pioneer TS-W309D4 12" sub.
I am concerned that my amp isn't set up properly though, is there anywhere you know I could take it to get it professionally done? The Car Audio Centre in Leicester wants to charge me £70 to do it.
Well it is now fixed! It was the remote lead, one of my mates crimped it at the back of the HU, and did a f**king awful job. I've tidied it up and it is working great!
Well I've drilled myself a proper grounding point in the boot floor, so it definately isn't the ground cable messing it up! I'm going to check the rem cable tomorrow, will let you know.
Tidy looking 1.2. Check out my project thread if you want a couple of ideas (I've got a 1.2, and haven't done loads yet).
One this I would say is that if you're into your music, change that sub! FLI are awful! I've got a Pioneer TS-W309D4 with an In Phase 900W amp. Its a good quality and...
I've just turned my engine on to test my amp (unrelated fault a couple of threads down), and I've noticed a tapping sound coming from my K&N air filter. It sounds just like water dropping into an empty bucket, and is coming from the end of the filter (the bit that is cleaned/oiled etc).
Any...
Hi,
I purchased a basic amp + sub yesterday (In Phase IPX 900 Amp, with a Pioneer TS-W309D4). It has been working great for the past 24 hours. However, I just went to drive to the local supermarket, and my amp has no light on at all!
I've checked both fuses, and the connection at the battery...
You can purchase a set from Streamline Carbon for £80-85, depending on the colour of the thumb grips.

Well I've had my pearl black 1.2 clio since last May, but I've only ever washed and waxed, never done anything more than that. I was originally planning to get a 182 this May (1 year no claims), but as the insurance is +/-£1800, I'm going to wait another year, as I'll be 21 with 2 years no...
I'm going to buy some 60mm springs for my 1.2 clio soon, and have found these on Ebay, are they any good? If not, could someone recommend a decent set for £100-120 please?
LO Springs...
Well it has been a very long time since I posted in here. Mainly because I haven't had time to do anything to my car in the past 6 months! Anyway, here is an update:
Mods done:
- Fitted Sony CDX GT550UI Headunit
- Fitted In Phase XTC6930 6x9 speakers
- Fitted some component speakers in the...
I'm having a bit of trouble with my '05 plate 1.2 clio. When I turn the car on, the engine overheating light is on immediately. Also, if I drive half a mile or so, the "water in the fuel/technical fault" light comes on. The accelerator is much more responsive than usual, and the car doesn't...
