This forum has died down a bit, my own presence has been somewhat slim. A new house, new Job, getting wed has taken its toll and then renovating said house has sapped all my time. I have taken the opportunity to buy some great lenses and go full frame just lacking the time to use them! A little...
overall very well received, sold 14 framed pictures but still made a Leighton loss overall. I took some pictures of it so might pop up a thread on it.
I treated myself to a Minolta 85 1.4 G. Probably the nicest lens I own!
Chris I've just been through the first link and it's really good photography, a great twist to the norm and some innovative candid sand posed shots. They have that full frame 'look' too! nice!
I used to own an 'ahem' copy of lightroom on my PC but since moving to Mac I didn't have that option and now pay the adobe cc for Photoshop and lightroom £8.90 a month.
Nope still not having that one! That's like saying a car photograph is all about the having the best car in the world.
innfact what your saying is it's all about the subject and not the photographer. I see so many bad sunset shots when there's a stunning sunset and so many good sunset shots...
I don't agree, look above you, awesome sun set, like one of the best I've ever seen but a straight forward unimaginative photo that doesn't do anything for me, apart from wish I was there ;)
That is a lovely shot Matt it's warm and fuzzy and shows emotion etc, it's not a sterile razor sharp boring portrait and it's all the better for it. Niall, I too find people on TP very stifled with the technical side and literally only happy to shoot very safe done to death scenes.
Matt I have the same and have been thinking about swapping out the optical drive for an additional hd, is this easy to do? I have seen the guides! Did you do it yourself?
i also understand I could buy another ssd and raid them?
Some great shots, I like the rim lighted couple Matthew but having tried it recently myself albeit with sunlight as the rim light and flash as the key light some of the images can look like the couple have been superimposed on a background!
like the graffiti shot Nial, it makes me want to setup...
I actually think they are the same 'base' lens especially when one puts them side by side, identical size, same filter thread, it's not uncommon for Sony and Tamron to share lenses like the 28-75 2.8. I know they fitted the Sony G with the bells and buttons but having lined up a sony 70-300, a...
I used to own this lens and had no complaints but sold it when I got a 70-200 2.8. Kinda regret it now as it was a very lightweight lens! Might get the sony g version (same optical quality) but focus limit and hold buttons. Might just get the 70-400 though!
Absolutely Canon and Nikon have nothing to match the Art Sigma lenses, they are something else! In fact Its getting hard to justify a Zeiss Otus for 4k when the sigma Art is as good and has AF!
