It'll be a water based paint, So autosmart tardis will shift it, Spray on panel, Wipe with microfibre and RINSE WELL. It will obvioulsy need to be polished and sealed afterwards. Ive done a few for clients who have been reimbursed by the builders/decorators and its the quickest way to remove it.
I wasnt suggesting that the "spirited" drives had anything to do with it. I was just stating that it happen 2 weeks after the work was done and after little use.
I can see where you're coming from, and ive taken the specialists posts on board. But at this point in time, Ive just had a f**k full of the car and am happy to let someone take it off my hands.
Not a renault specialist no, But they have been running these engines in single seaters and doing R5GT conversions for years.
Again, after inspection of the engine, The crank spinning is due to no fault of the timing belt installation.
Ive been driving it around for 2 months, So surely it would of happened immediately if that was the case.
How its been explained to me, Is that the crank pulley is an interference fitting to the crank, Which has probably spun.
Ok, Ive just spoken to them again, The crank is 90 degrees out. He's thinking its the interference fitting of the crank pulley to the crank which has failed.
And its not some back street garage, Its a tuning company with lots of knowledge of these engines, No need to post names tho.
Bare with me on this one.
I had the belt kit and dephaser pulley changed on my clio around 2 months ago, the cars been running fine since. Fast forward to last thursday, And it cut out when running at around 2000rpm and lost all compression, 1st thought, Belt related.
Now its gone back to the...
quite a simple one, what's this cable from guys? My alternator has fried itself today, started whining, smoking and smelling. Whilst giving a look over I found this cable behind the headlight, not connected to anything. What's it supposed to be connected to?
Yep, I think it was altering constantly if that's possible, As it wasnt ticking over nicely and kept cutting out. New MOT too so its worth at least £1050! :)
Really starting to enjoy the car now. I had the belts and dephaser changed last week, what a transformation! Lucky it went in too, As the tensioner pulley was about to s**t itself!
Early today, My PH2 172 went into limp mode, It wouldnt rev passed 2900rpm and the coil light in the centre of the dash came on. Pulled over, Turned it off and it started fine and seemed to sort itself out. Assuming its going to happen again, Is it a common fault? Hopefully it is, And i can get...
It's being done by Got boost in Pyle.
If you'd seen me about in the last few weeks it wasn't me @SimpleJoee, a friend has lent the car for a few weeks.
There is only about 3 or 4mm adjustment on the base of the mount, Certainly not enough to affect the shafts.
Ive just loosened them and pulled the engine forward, Still vibrating. Loosened them and pushed the engine back, Still the same, I give up! It'll vibrate the lip of the subframe way...
that top bolt is fun into get in isnt it! lol.
Yeah, ive got the expected vibrations off the mount, But this is something else. Im going to loosen the drivers side mount and see if theres any adjustment there today..
Ive recently fitted a pure motorsport lower mount to my 172 along a with miltek decat. Now, when the car is under load, especially when the front end goes light there is a serious vibration. From what i can see, The manifold to downpipe flange is touching the subframe, From having a quick search...
I've owned my 172 for around 3 weeks now, since I've had it, it's had a bit of trouble starting when hot, and the Rev limit has been 6800rpm.
I went for a drive yesterday and it was particularly hot, and it revved out to 7200rpm, I put two and two together and I'm guessing coolant temp sensor...
