Hmm, I just can't seem to find a home for it. In my gearbox I've got the sensor on top plugged in, and the sensor my the wheel plugged in, the earths on the box, battery and chassis are all plugged in. God knows where that other sensor goes.
theres a loud whine coming from the m.a.f, also when...
You were spot on with that one Fred, cheers!! That's solved the 3 second then shut off problem, now it cranking over but not starting up :s the other sensor so the sub frame brackets on. Ill take it off and clean it. And the one behind he headlight, this is just to the left of the passenger...
I think it's some sort of ignition problem. Usually my injectors go z. Z a a z zz. Sort of thing, but all I can hear is my fuel pump priming then silence...
its almost like the at realises after a few seconds it can't start and reuses to try
Changed the clutch over the last week. It hasn't been driven for 2/3 weeks. I've put it all back together and when I tern the key from off to on immediately the starter cranks over for about 3 seconds. But if I tern it to on, then start nothing happens. As far as I know all the sensors, leads...
Gearbox out, clutch changed, fly wheel sanded and box cleaned and back in. Ended up taking the steering rack off the sub frame and dropping it. That pinch bolt wasn't for me. Had a little problem with the heat shield still being attached. The box was a bit of a struggle. Just shook the s**t out...
Perfect! I was having visions of getting tangled up in the subframe with a gearbox on my chest hahaYeah stretchy sounds good! Umm hopefully pretty good.. I've never changed one before, I was sort of hoping it'd be foolproof. What needs lining up? The flywheel? It's all a bit foreign really, Ill...
Ok cheers mate that's spot on! Ill get back on it after work tomorrow, the weathers terned to s**t!
So the pinch bolts inside the car in the footwell? Does that completely disconnect the rack from the column? Also my upper driveshaft boots split in half but I can't seem to find a new boot? I've...
The last few evenings I've been changing my clutch, it's going alrite, apart from the rain tonight! I've got everything off just need to get the starter off the box and hopefully get the steering rack off so I can drop the sub frame. I'm a chippy not a mechanic, so it's a bit of a learning...
This is just a f**king nightmare... I'm going with that same method, it just won't come off. Ill get one of my merts round tomoz to yank at it while I bar and hammer it I think. I'm starting to get aggy now aha
if I blow torch it is it gonna catch on fire?
I'm currently changing my clutch, the dive shaft on the passenger side pretty much fell out after the 3 bolts were undone. Driver side things aren't going do well. I've undone the two 13mm bolts holding it in (I assume) and it honestly won't move for s**t. I've soaked it in Wd40 where it goes in...
Well... Yesterday after a s**t day of work, I was going to give my car a bit of a pasting down the bypass, changed from second to third at about 5.5/6k, and felt something go, it didn't change into third, I thought I missed it. The clutch pedals gone really light and you am hear a metallic grind...

Do steering wheels off newer clios fit on? And are they smaller? Mines like a f**king pizza plate
Hi all,
I've got my ph2 172 non cup booked in for a cambelt and aux belt on Friday, so I guess tomorrow would be about the latest to get a de phaser pully ordered. Ive done a bit if searching about cambelts etc and read about Dephaser pullys. It's not broken but my cars done 94k and had next to...
Hi, my names Tom and I live down in Cornwall. I bought a nice clean 02 plate silver 172 last week and loving it! Completely standard except the 182 16"s. It does have a cliosport owners sticker on the rear window which does worry me slighty ;), but its going well so far! I treated it to some new...
