you will lose the vat you pay straight away. Personally there is never a winner with cars. Renault always ave and always will be patchy in terms of reliability. if depreciation and reliability are the major worries then get a vw. safe bet

ive had that - not sure what exactly governs the cut in - people say oil temp, but it is erratice. somedays the car is only just warm and no cut in, sometimes could have doen 10 miles and it does!! wierd. had 4 rs clios and all the same!

Funny, EVO mag have timed the 182cup and the 172 cup as: 182 cup 0-60: 6.6, 0-100 17.5 max 139 172 cup 0-60: 6.5, 0-100 17.7 max 138 that tells me theres nowt in it. they could of course by lying and the 172cup would beat them all easy! :S

no. it will sound like a stevensons rocket though. TBH i would be surprised if the manifold was blowing - strongest part of the exhaust. I suspect its probably fractured on a pipe joint around one of the 3 silencers ( 2 backboxes, 1 midbox)

if its the original exhaust then its all one piece until the cat then at the manifold. pop the bonnet and listen - you will tell if its the manifold - pop pop pop sound. have a listen underneath to see where its coming from.

had coil prob on a 172 - but was damp and fine when dried out...maybe worth trying to eliminate before renault tells you it needs a new engine!

trust me on this one - go to halfords and buy a can of rover 'stone grey' spray. spray into lid and use that to touch up. Its a perfect match. I had to same issue - a stonechip about 0.5mm diameter. Now invisible!
