I have a set of clio 172 sport alloys on ATM.
I got them at 17 for a quick cheap mod, now looking to get something more suitable
Just wanted to know what the exact specs of these wheels are
PCD/offset/rim width you know the usuals
New speakers in the Clio.
All new speaker set up fronts, rears and tweets
Back speakers were just a pure pain in the arse cos the grilles never popped out it was 1 moulded panel so the door card had to come off ... Why can anyone explain that... It was
Had to cut out the speaker grill...
Its been a while since i have checked in here is an update...
Just had it lowered and it makes a huge difference
Clio has had some alloys fitted too the MK3 OEM curved 5 spoke ones and also fitted it with front lower and upper and rear lower strut braces
I will try to get some pics up of...
there is Turbo and supercharger kits you can get for these, but for the price of them you are better selling the car and buying a faster one
The turbos range from £2,000 to £4,500
turbo1 - raises the BHP from 67 to 90
turbo2 - raises the BHP from 67 to 110
turbo3 - raises the BHP from 67 to...
Resurrection time....
Trax photo's... Would have gone with the Clio but booked this stand before we got it :)
Came for a look round the Cliosport stand at the few MK3's that were there for inspiration, they looked brilliant, bloody load of then never expected to see that many there, must have...
They were only MK3 Phase 1, my mum had a 57 plate one in light blue
had a few wee bits of red trim here and there and around the seat edges, just the material was very hard wearing almost very nylon like
I was pretty much a basic Clio with a few wee extra bits like electric windows usb audio port
I don't have any spigots on them right now anyway,
I'm now trying to put on "bolt through" hubcentric spacers so I was struggling to fit them and line the holes up..... I have chicken arms you see
These are the rims I have.... With Renault stamped on the inside so I assume they are not aftermarket OZ F1's like you sometimes see
is it 60.1 for genuine Renault F1's and 73.1 for aftermarket OZ F1's
I am confused now :S
I just hope you never had it fitted by Halfords...... They are brain dead and incompetent (With no disrespect to competent Halfords employees)
I had to redo a wiring for the HU and Subwoofer on a friends Golf as the Halfords guy left all the wiring across the top of the engine and hanging, not...
Refreshed... before you posted oops
But cheers, I have just done a quick search on here and it some people are saying that the OZ f1's are 73.1mm outer bore
That's the chappy, silver 107 Goes like s**t of a shovel,
There a video where he put it up against a Toyota corolla on the drag strip, so its the same engine, it just goes to show what, a difference weight reduction makes
And yes, were going to have to sort out a big Blackpool meet some...
Now I have the wider alloys and spacers on it does make a big difference round the bends, But i just find my self clinging onto the steering wheel for support in the bends .... Which isn't good.
would maybe go as far as saying its better in the bends than the Clio. Probably due to the shorter...
That is all on the to do list, when I get the chance, Lowering being the first thing
The Scoltand and GB stickers were on it from when i got it from my grandad after he died, so they are just one of the sentimental things ahaha
I am wanting to go for the clean look now
I bored of this now.... can we go back to the orginal topic!
I'm contemplating a set of recaro seats or somthing like that, the standard ones give no lateral support in coners, even if you are going slowly
Yes that is very true.
But when it come to nitpicking over small things by pedantic people it is just annoying
There is a difference between negitve comments and constructive criticism
But Yes, thanks for the comments guys :)
If you have all these negative vibes, you can kindly shove them up your arse... and avoid commenting
Have a look, dont like it, move on the the next thread
I mean there is banter then there is just being a dick head!
I just thought it would be a good idea to share with other car with like...
It about as manly as you can get really now..... which still isnt very many
But yes, Lowering spings are on my to do list, but Hopefully very soon though
You may find this helpful when measureing size of spacers, this will bring it to be exactly in line with the outermost part of the wheel arch
