i already have a box of xtreme bulk kit. Cost me £150. I would like to put a layer of cheaper sound proofing underneath though, just to give it a little edge.....

cheers guys, espically eviljohn for the guide. Do you think i will notice a big difference if i put a layer of cheap sound proofing down first then a layer of dyanmat xtreme on top of it ??? I want to cover practically the whole car. maybe not the roof though

Has anyone removed all the interior from a 172. I plan to install some sound proofing in to my 172. I want to remove everything, seats, carpets, door panels and roof covering. How easy is it to do this. Anyone got any good tips....

i just got a service at 27k miles last week. Does anyone know when my next service is due. Car was registered in Oct 2000.

so some people say you do NEED to get a re-map and some people say you DONT. A bit confusing. Dont know whether to go for a viper or not.....:confused:

ive heard a few people state that you NEED to get your car re-mapped after fitting a viper or BMC to ensure your car is not running lean. Not much point in shelling out a few hundred quid for a IK and not getting the full benefit of it. I am right or wrong. If i need to Re-map, i may not...

£400 for a IK and roughly a 5Bhp increase. Bloody expensive. Dont think i will bother...I was interested in getting a viper but too pricey

am i correct in thinking that if you fit either a viper or a BMC you would need to get a remap done. And how much would that cost ??

its a common fault on the clio. I get it sometimes as well. Problem lies under the passenger seat. I just replug my connector and it fixes the problem. Will need to get it sorted properly soon though.

got my springs pro kit from motorsportworld yesterday. Only took 2 days to arrive. will get them fitted next week :D

that sounds exactly like my problem. i took my car (172 mk1 ) into my loal garage today but they couldnt pinpont the exact problem. Maybe sensor related. They recommended it get renault to look at it, which i will do very soon. The car is just undriveable for f ew mins in the morning. Oh...

I just got a magnex fitted about a week ago. Not too loud but you wil notice the difference. also there is a noticeable drone when cruising on the motorway

what would you guys thinki should do. Let the garage have a look at it ( they will be charging me of course) but they may not be able to tell for certain the sensor is faulty or take it into renault. Dont want to wats time and money paying a garage to tell me they arent sure if the sensor is...

I recently posted about a problem i have noticed since getting a magnex fitted. I think the mechanic who fitted the exhaust damaged the Lamda sensor. My local specilalist garage do not have the correct pod to hook my car up to, to run a diagnostic check. They only have the equipment to test...

would it be worth re-fitting the exhaust with the correct silicone?

how much would a new sensor be. Do you think he possibly has used the wrong silicone to seal the exhaust

I got a full magnex exhaust system fitted to my MK1 172 last week but have a problem with it. when i start the car in the morning after about 20 - 30 secs the revs drop away and the car just about stalls. This will last for about 10 secs then the revs pick up and the car is fine. However...

Has anyone striped out the whole interior (Seats, carpets et) from a 172. I am hopefully going to be fitting some dynamat in my car and wanted to know how easy it is to do this

A lack of the foldng stuff means i cant afford to get the shocks and springs at the same time. Iwas going to get KONI shocks and EIBACH Pro springs. What i would like to know is it ok and advisable to fit the springs and then fit the KONI shocks say in about 6 months ???

i have spotted a K & N air filter on Ebay. Is it worth getting for my 172. I am thinking of getting a Viper very soon, do i need the K & N. Or is it a waste of money ??

any one know where on the web i can get a small (bee sting) aerial for my 172.
