I've got a Trophy and a V6 255. I used to also have a 182 cup and I think the Trophy is a better car, not by a huge amount, but definitely better. I think the Trophy will also retain more of its value (percentage wise) than a std cup. Ultimately only you can decide though.
Ironically, another...
Thanks Jeremy, would I be correct in thinking that the majority of the 06 plate ones are Renault UK cars? (I know a Black Gold one definitely is). If so, will RUK be de-fleeting them any time soon? Thanks Lee
Does anyone know of any late 06 registered V6's for sale? I've been looking everywhere but cannot see any for love nor money. I know Renault UK had a few, but don't know whether they are likely to be selling them soon or not.
I sold my 04 one last year and really regret it, so want to get the...
That was me mate, I thought you were having a good look. You were in the silver 'new' clio. Thought it was a Renault UK clio from the number plate.
I was out with my mate who owns Hudsons of London - the supercar garage in Stoke Poges. One of his business partners has a liquid yellow V6 - if...
Hmmm, yeah valid points guys. I guess I need to give it a bit more serious thought. Maybe if I got a 182, I'd always be thinking I should've paid a bit more and gone for a Trophy.
Hi, I'm thinking about buying either a 182 with cup suspension, etc or a Trophy. The one thing that I have noticed though, is that you can still get a 'better' 182 (lower mileage/lower ownership, etc) for a few grand less than a Trophy.
Other than the wheels/tyres and seats are there any...
Hey thanks mate, although, I've just been told that the liquid yellow has just been sold!!!
So, there's only one left.... in the same colour as I had before.
I know where it is now, so i'll keep you posted.
Thanks everyone.
No I didn't take out the gap insurance, but I have a really good legal company who will take care of the silly insurance valuations. In addition, my insurance company are not too concerned anyway, because they're claiming off the insurance of the HGV that decided to T-bone me.
Its worth...
Considering a couple of 17/18 year old Renault main dealer 'technicians' decided to interface my brother in laws 182 with an estate agents window (whilst the service manager was at lunch), I think we all know what goes on!!!
Thanks for all the help and links guys. I've PM'd Mr Townsend - so fingers crossed. I also spoke to Carselect who reckon there is one left, albeit already at a dealership somewhere (so probably been ragged by every 17 year old grease monkey within 100 miles!!!).
I saw a liquid yellow 55 plate...
Absolutely gutted, my Black 04 V6 255 was written off last week (not my fault). I'd owned the car from new and had really looked after it.
Anyway, I would love to get hold of another new one, so I just wondered if anyone on here knows of any new one's left floating about somewhere????
Any...
Hi folks, after comitting the biggest mistake of my life and selling my V6 last year (due to financial problems), Im about to go down my local dealer and order another one (before they end production).
I see that all the importers are doing good deals, but wondered what the best price anyone...
I sold my V6 255 last year and it was the biggest mistake Ive ever made!! Im now trying to beg, borrow and steal so that I can afford another one before they stop production....
If you think thats bad, M3 CSL owners are ready to hang themselves. Some paid almost 60k less than a year ago and are now being offered low 30s to p/x at BMW main dealers.
Ive got an old Clio cup racer from 91/92. It originally came with 7x15 Speedline alloys - identical to the Williams, except in silver with speedline written in black on one of the spokes - they never made centre caps for them, so if you wanted caps you had to buy some willys and paint them. They...
No m8, Im not at Stafford, but I think its a common scene at most of these places:-(
I know a guy who used to put the thatcham stuff on a well known japanese manufacturers cars at the docks as soon as they arrived, and he reckons the same sort of behaviour goes on there as well.
I work on a big site that is now used by various car manufacturers as so-called distribution centres. Basically, they store hundreds of new cars here waiting for owners. BTW, Renault also have a place here.
You should see the way that the monkeys that work there drive. They dont use the clutch...
When I ordered mine the salesman gave me an A4 folder stuffed with regs and said choose your reg whilst I sort out the paperwork.
I reckon it all comes down to the dealer and how ar5ed they can be.
BTW, mine was a 6 week build - Renault main dealer, brand new.
You could buy some of those xenons from the likes of halfords and as long as they are the right type and wattage itll be fine. Although, I dont know how close they would be in colour to the proper gas discharge ones. I suspect they may still be a bit yellowy. I guess if theyre cheap enough - buy...
The xenon lamp only works on normal beam. The full beam is the second set of lamps (closer to the grille) in the headlight unit. The full beam lamps are a higher wattage than the xenons but are just normal lamps, therefore, when engaged they are brighter than the xenons but just give out a...
I had a new r32 and couldnt get on with it. Dont get me wrong, its a great car on paper, well built, etc, but it just doesnt feel that great on the roads - almost a bit numb and boring.
Id recommend keeping the 182, its got a lot more character.
I was at Renault Watford today ordering the effectively the same car as yours. They showed me round your motor so I could see the paint/trim, etc. Spencer said that this one was an ex-demo waiting for collection.......
Anyway, looked well mint, hope u r pleased with it.
