    wiper removal?

Well, I tackled this yesterday. Getting the passenger wiper off would have been a nightmare without the puller but all in all a simple straightforward job. However, my headlight washers had never worked so when I tried them again all the water in the tank promptly pissed out of the front of the...

    wiper removal?

I bought the eurocarparts pump (as recommended in another thread recently) part number 488545100. Was only just over £6 with their current promo. Bought a Nielsen arm puller from amazon for £10 which was less than half the price of the same thing on ECP. Just thought of something else..... If I...

    wiper removal?

Hi all this weekend (wether permitting), I'm planning on changing the pump for my windscreen washer. Bought the pump and a wiper arm puller in readiness, and have already sprayed up the nut with WD40 to get some oil penetration in it to make it easier to pull. Got a couple of questions though...

Plastidip worked well for me, and if I want the chrome look again I'll simply peel it off

    Clicking clutch pedal

Happened to me for a while. Then started to get a mild grinding noise after a few weeks when the pedal was pressed or released. Release bearing was on the way out. A new clutch, fork and guide tube fitted this week solved everything for me.

    Does my clutch need changed?

May as well change the clutch then, if I'm going go be in there?

    Does my clutch need changed?

Hi all, over the last few weeks my clutch has been making a bit of a noise. When I pressed or released the clutch pedal I would hear a scraping noise. Best way to describe it is that is sounded like a nail being lightly drawn across a spinning metal disc. Just the noise, no vibrations or...

    Another 'what's this plug' thread

Err, thanks Zen. Not really relevant to the question but thanks anyway ;-) Anyone know what this plug may be for? ta

    Another 'what's this plug' thread

Hi all, while sorting out the various rattles and squeaks in my 182 I came across an unconnected plug that I hope someone can identify for me. Its a purple plug with two wires (one green, one white) that was hanging down behind the aircon/heater control panel. Should it be connected in my 182FF? ta

Xenon headlights (renaultsport) - one purple, one white?

No, its possible to do it without removing bumper. Small hands help. Mine were swapped by my mechanic in 5 minutes

    Fitting the exhaust

I didn't need anything for my cat-back 192 exhaust. The cat to mid pipe clamp was re-used and the rear boxes came with the necessary fittings. Sorry, can't comment on the cat section if you got a cat bypass pipe also

Where to buy poly exhaust hanger bush?

Ta, but when I type my reg number into their site it states that this won't fit my car. Mine is a 2004 182 but they state that's the wrong part and will only fit up to 2003. I believe this is an error and that the mount for a 172 is the same as a 182. Can anyone confirm? Also, has anyone...

Where to buy poly exhaust hanger bush?

Close but not the same. Can't see a square one on there with the hole in the middle and I don't know the dimensions I need. Difficult to know what would be suitable from those. Thanks for the offer of checking the stock for me but it's chucking it down outside and I'm not heading out in that to...

Where to buy poly exhaust hanger bush?

Not exactly like that one. The others I have on it are red with the centre mounting hole already there so it doesn't need to be drilled out. Would prefer to match these, although nobody would ever notice.

Where to buy poly exhaust hanger bush?

Hi all, I need one poly bush for the rear exhaust hanger of my 182. Any recommendations of where to get one? (I stupidly forgot to secure one with cable ties last weekend when fitting new exhaust. It fell out at some point during the week) :( Ta Michael

    Wrapping of badges

Plasidip tip. Go light with the spray. Even if the first few passes look like a bit of a spatter effect rather than coverage. 4 or 5 very light coats building up give a much smoother finish than going for quick coverage with it. Good thing is, if you're not happy with the finish just peel it...

    Wrapping of badges

I used plastidip on mine. Very easy and as mentioned earlier, if you don't like it you simply peel it off. Not sure if they do a gloss version, but think there is another spray they do to give it a gloss effect after putting the colour on.

    condensation in headlights ..

very much agree on this for those who try the hair dryer method. I did this on my VX220 and the rear of the headlight deformed just enough that the caps wouldn't fit on properly. Be careful with the heat

    condensation in headlights ..

I used a square teabag (pyramid bags were not as good), cut along the top edge, emptied the tea and filled about a third of the way with the crystals. I then used some duct tape across where I had cut and stuck the bag to the inside of the main beam cap and then put the cap back onto the light...

    condensation in headlights ..

I think silica bags (like the kind you get packed in shoe boxes etc) simply prevent a little moisture and mould starting. To get rid of 'heavier' condensation as in a headlight I think you need something specific for actual moisture removal rather than prevention. The crystals I used with the...

    Yokohama AD08

Fitted a pair of AD08's on the front of my 182 on Saturday. Went for a razz around London super early Sunday morning to see what they were like. Dear Lord, they're grippy! Maybe not trying hard enough, but couldn't unstick them and wouldn't want to drive any more aggressivley on a public road...
