Badge wraps or DIY painting?

Looking to change the front diamond on my mk2 clio to black and found 'badge wraps' as an alternative to painting. Would anyone recommend the wraps over painting or do they just look bad?

Ps im pretty handy at painting with rattle cans

Plastidip worked well for me, and if I want the chrome look again I'll simply peel it off

i have been having a go with plastikote, same sort thing as mentioned above
