I'm looking at buying a 2006 56 plate 2.0L Dynamique which has recently had a service but when I asked the owner if the cambelt was changed they said that it wasn't due at that service which is 5 years.
If the cambelt should have been done then that would affect the offer that I make.
Hope the bike's going well Andy, didn't know you were into Clio's.
Scott, the V5 came today so I'll send it off to the DVLA and put the V5C (green part) in the post to you today.
I'm really pleased that you are enjoying it Scott and its gone to a true enthusiast:)
Its just a shame that you live miles away as I could have done with your photography skills to take pics of my cars when I sell them, pics looks stunning.
Yep, just turn the knob around to the bottom marker...
Have checked my PH advert again and the Clio is now showing in the classifieds BUT its showing as the seller (me) as being in Surrey and its also not in my "manage my adverts". I'm glad that I don't pay for my PH adverts. At least Autotrader is working properly as I've just had another email...
I can't get on the classified section at all at the moment and when I looked at it yesterday I couldn't find the Clio for sale and when I went into "my adverts" it wasn't there at all but the CLS that I set to sold last weekend is showing as still for sale.:S
Whe I looked at the classified...
I had an offer for mine off someone who mentioned that he was going to have a look at the F1 so I had a look at the advert and if you click more details at the bottom of the advert it does say that it is a CAT D. Which really is like most sellers, they always put it right at the end of the...
Cheers for the advice, I'll have a look into the other models and probably just stock the Porter Cable on Ebay at some point when I can sort everything out that it came with.
I've had a quick look at DAS-6 Pro, is this a low risk machine? I mean as I've haven't used polishers often I'm not...
I've had a Porter Cable polisher for about 5 years now and used it only twice in that time. 2 reasons, 1, I've gotten lazier over the years and 2, the fact that I have to get the transformer out etc, but I want to start making more of an effort again.
I'm not a detailer like some of you lot so...
Ooh first post using my iPhone and it worked. Wow, that's impressive for an old git like me.

Cheers, it is as good as looks including the Recaros as I had them exchanged under warranty a couple of months ago. So you can say they are 2 months old.
You can see a lot more pics in the for cars for sale section on Clio197.net.
You can only put 9 pics on Pistonheads

My partner's Nimbus looks good IMO but I can understand what you mean about looking brown (just looked out the window) but in a nice way.
After I bought the 197 my step daughter and her boyfriend went and bought an 08 GW 197 with every option the same as ours except the electric folding...
Oh ok, so its more the availability than anything else. I was sure that the R27 was no different to a cup packed FF 197 with recaros but it did make me question it in case there was something else different.
I've read a lot on the forum about people changing the dephaser when changing the cambelt, I have no idea what this is and never heard of this before when I used the forum more years ago.
Is it an important thing to look out for?
I'm looking at getting another 182 soon and never heard of a dephaser ( I'm not mechanically minded though) but know about the costly cambelt change so will look for one with this done at the correct time.
So what is a dephaser and why do many people mention it on the forum as a main thing to...
There are a lot of 182's for sale so I know how much people are advertising them for but ask here which is probably the biggest 172/182 forum for how much they are actually selling for.
I don't quite get the sarcastic comments:nono:
My question wasn't which car would be best for the winter or snow. I simply asked about the Clio 182 prices at present and explained why I wanted to buy one, and why some of you were trying to suggest different cars surprises me as this is a Clio...
If you mean the Golf 2.8 4motion, nice car at the time but they are quite old now and that wood interior isn't very modern looking.
I think I will look out for the right 182.
The only way the MX5 wouldn't be much difference to the Clio in the snow is if you drive in reverse everywhere. My partner's sister has a mk3 MX5 and she got completely stuck last year in the snow and said it was hopeless. I have had many Audi Quattros over the years but last year was one of the...
Most AWD cars are called 4 wheel drive like the whole quattro range of audis except the smaller models of the A3 which uses a haldex system (same as the R32 and all other VW group cars based on that same platform) which then uses 2 wheels most of the time and only uses the rears when grip is...
