Hello,
The original 172 ph1 seat's backrest is quite low for me.
Its upper point doesn't reach even my shoulders, and because of that my sitting position is very uncomfortable.
I have an option purchasing the 197 non recaro seats, like those:
Someone did this swap? Or knows something...
Hi all,
Found myself being drawn back to clios, specifically the 197 - i know there is a bit of shared BMW/Clio love on here so here goes...I currently have a 330 which i have just put up for sale, at which point i will be in a position to buy a 197.
I have owned a 172 cup and 182 previously...
Potentially looking to go and view this, but thought I'd ask around to see if anyone knew anything about it first?
36k on the clock, 3 owners, fully stamped service history but from independent garages. Just asking the garage owners whether there are any receipts for these services.
What...
Having owned this for nearly 12 months now and 9k miles, i think its about time i started a thread. The car is not heavily modified, its still close to factory spec but i am gradually now looking to improve in the little areas.
Present mods are only a KTR decat pipe and Pipercross panel...
Hey...does anyone know what this adaptor/cable does. It's from the fusebox to the right of the battery on a '07 Clio 197 F1. It wasn't plugged together so I plugged it together but can't notice any difference in the car..
Im looking at 3 cars all 2007 197s. 2 of the cars have around 60k and one has 70k but has had the cambelt done at 68k. Which would you go for?? All 3 are similar priced
Cheers
Quick question, do I need to change the crank bolt on a 197 when changing the belts (the bolt that holds the pulley on? I looks like its a stretch bolt? Thanks :)
I took my car in to be remapped today and have tried every possible sequence I can think of the get my ignition to stay on without starting the engine.
I've been told the engine is in Eco mode and needs to be forced out. Me and two others have tried everything we can think of.
The ignition...
So I'm armed with my Halfrauds Laser locking wheel nut breakers, a breakers bar and awaiting my friend to come home from work with an impact gun.. however, he's told me I won't get these nuts off with this set up as the outside circle of the nut 'spins' to stop it from being broken.. is this the...
im pretty new to the site as i lost my log in details but when i bought my clio 197 i had to sort hem out to get back on here lol,

So had a look around the forums and interweb and make it look like changing the front springs on a 197 isn't the easiest job in the world.
Being quoted from £260 to £280 to have it done in a garage is this about right?
Any advice on tackling it at home or just better to take it in (and if so...
As above saw the blue 197 with tinted windows filling up at the services on the A27 at emsworth around 10:30 this morning. And a dirty Megane 225 in Sainsburys carpark at 6pm
Anyone on here?
Basically, with my Renault 50 point check (With my service), one suspension coil is split on one side and one is corroded on the other side.
Has anyone lowered their 197 on springs? This is obviously the easiest/cheapest way to fix the issue, but I've heard a couple of stories about it making...
So I've had a search and found that to fit the 197 wheel an m20 spacer is needed?? (thickness not mentioned anywhere though)
Also some splicing of wires is needed and a guide is on cliov6.net.. Although that's all i've found, no guide on here though.
So my question is, seeing as the ph1 172...
Spotted a white 197 number plate ending RSA on the A45 today heading out of Coventry. I recognised the number plate from somewhere .. maybe another forun but I'm not sure. I was in a black R26 going the other way.
