thanks
That's a bargain! Makes me think I paid a little too much (£3600 in Jan 2010) for my Blue Cup with 15000 more miles on it :/
Just out of interest, are you table to tell from the photo of the engine bay? The only thing I can see wrong (don't know the name of it) is the block that should be attached to the front of the manifold is missing.
It's because the stickers on teh front bumper are missing. So it has had the front bumper replaced atleast
Maybe he removed them to clean up the engine bay judging by how modified the rest of it is.
There not in the engine bay, they are on the front bumper, either side of the middle 'grill'
Bodyshops rarely notice them when replacing the whole bumper so don't stick them on. However when they have a respray its right in front of them, more obvious
Why would it make a difference with the bonnet up? They are visible with the bonet down!
Oh I know where they should be, but I still think it's possible he might have just removed them so it looks better when he has the bonnet up.

Oh dear. Anyway, back on topic. I was just looking at pistonheads and found this.

Looks fantastic and could probably be haggled down the £99 if you could drive it away on the day.
Another good proposition. Certainly is a buyers market at the moment, I'm spoilt for choice. Still not 100% sure I could live with a cup. I like to drive close to the edge but maybe not enough to justify one at the expense of the 172 toys.
