£4500 Fair offer?

A good friend of mine jumped her 2002 83k clio 172 over a roundabout earlier this week and it's written off. The insurance company have just offered her £4500 then obviously take off her £450 excess. Reckon it's a fair offer?

although you should always try to contest it for more money

With my old MK1 RSi they first offered me £1100 but i explained how much i thought the car was worth and the money that had been spent on it.. I ended up with £1637

Been on pistonheads and autotrader and thats pretty accuraye isn't it. Anyone got a nice motor for £4050 lol
