So chuffed - ran a 6.35 today at TRAX in a MkII 172. Only mod is the exhaust. Had loads of wheel spin as well so probably could have got it down some more. Was so surprised. Again big thanks to Clare

saw that run mate, was shocked when i saw the amount of tyre smoke you made lol!

i think some times were a tad low! saw a zetec fiesta run 7.1, among others!

good effort though mate! fancied a go but cant justify spending £7 for about 6-7 seconds of time! lol

I was thinking that, too. I ran a 9.85 in my 1.4, but i had a good start and only myself and two front seats! Mind you, that RS200 ran 2.92, but its previous best was 3.05, so maybe the trax 0-60s were a bit quick? Never the less, its all relative, and he beat a cup by 0.3s that ran on the same strip!;)

  Volvo S60 T5

I ran 6.69 but only did one run, easy recon I could get below 6 secs, cocked up a bit with my run but more than happy with it:D that was with NOS turned on in second gear.

What mileage you got on your car? decent time!

It was a laser beam you crossed then a fixed camera followed your speed to 60 (like a gatso does) and then stops the clock when you get to 60.

Only thing is, there wernt any official print offs of your time, just some guy writing them down in a hut off his laptop. Still, I saw it with my own eyes, 6.35, couldnt believe it!

The only thing I can think of is that my car has done 50k miles, always been run on Optimax(oh dear have I opened a can of worms there) Exhaust cat back and no spare wheel. I would have been happy with 7s but 6.35 is well good.

Mike, is your car red with 182 rims? If so then I saw your run today. Good work! You to Ad, thats an impressive time.

Anyone see that black 206 with white wheels? think it had a sequential box?

Yeah, I saw that... bit of a rally sl*g!

I wasnt there but ive read some posts on other forums bitching about the fact that allegedly they didnt line everyone up on the line - giving some a bit of a start on the 0-60 times - could be BS.

Fair point mate but I think if you take it relatively, most people in 172 and Cups were running high 6s low 7s. I didnt get the best of starts either

Its ok Im just on a bit of an ego trip at the moment, Ill calm down by tomorrow.

  2008 Golf GTI Edition 30

I ran a 6.94 in my 182 (standard bar an induction kit).

I got a little too much wheel spin in first, but reckon I could get it down to 6.5 ish with some practice.

  Clio 200 Cup packed

timed mine at last week...

just me, barely any fuel and 1600 miles on the clock! and the hightech timing equipment of my mobile phone.

1. 0-60 5.88 (a little generous with the start-stop clicking)

2. 0-60 6.69, 0-90 13.48 (much more realistic with the start-stop)

3. 0-60 6.48 with esp off

i realiing that my reaction times could throw the timings out by 1/2 second easily but still was quite impressed...

One other thing that could be a factor is that I had done a Track session in the morning and the tyres were nice and sticky.

Also I slipped the guy a fiver at the start!!!

Why am I making excuses - I beat you all He He

Yeah I noticed that, but the differences were only about a meter at the most. Infact I remember the guy going woah woah to me as I pulled up- I must have been a bit too close- DAMN!!!
