05 clio sport idles at 3k

hi new here, just got a clio sport on drive home woudnt go past 60, put it in local garage and they said it needed a new peddle so had that done and it was still the same.
now it starts and reves at 2.5/3k

Is it the right pedal. and is everything connected. sounds like the ecu is in a mode.

Did they plug it in after they swapped the pedal? Sounds more like a throttle body or MAF sensor..... Did they give you any 'P' codes?
