1.2 16v Cambelt

Put my car in for a MOT today and it passed. No faults, just a green page

I want to get the cambelt done now though.

What price should I be expecting to pay?

Getting mine done for the belt cost + some beers

Got quotes of around £200 though from most places, £483 from dealer lol

that's too cheap. wont have had a tensioner for that price. £130 would just about cover the labour

i bought the kit for £50 including the tensioner. and the labour was £80. mates rates

well, the guys said, if i dont buy the parts, and he buys them instead, it would cost about £170 all in

it's only 1 tensioner. No idlers. Make sure they at the very least check the water pump for leaks as they're prone to it

Thats replacing the kit and water pump.

It was £170 for just replacing the belt and water pump.

So the I just thought the £40 more was worth it.
