1.2 16v ecu gone mental

............Gutted, car is at reno........went to have alarm fitted today, all fine and well, alarm works.......started car up to drive home, noticed i had no power steering. I knocked the window down to mention it to the mate of mine who alarmed it, so we chacked fuses. The power steerin light wasnt comin on the ignition..........so, with window down etc etc, the car now wont start AT ALL?! of course, the electrics have gone mad, the windows wont go up, and it starts pishing it down big time!! Got car into the unit, disconnected the battery etc, left it off for 30mins............still no joy. Its now at reno, and they say they cant look at it till tuesday!

its weird, AA man cudnt figure it............on ignition, everything lights up, the SERVICE light comes on then FLASHES, the lights work, brake lights, but no indicators, no hazards, no windows, interior lights or door locks!?!?!?! all normally chekable fuses r ok.

Any of you guys got any ideas?? we have eliminated the alarm from it all by disconnectin it, the std immobiliser light aint doing anything at all........ so, whats the likely sequence reno will take to get my car working again? gutted to be without her guys..........life isn really kicking me in the teeth just now

Erm, seems to me as if its the Alarm fitters place to put it right.

UCH has gone tits up by the sound of it, it controls a shed load of stuff.

Or some nugget has made a complete mess when they done the alarm!

The UCH controls most of the electronic units, including the engine immobilzer decoder.

It controls a lot, it may just be a wiring fault , but who knows without looking?

I really panicked and felt soooo bad when u txt but had suspiscions it may have been alarm related. I honestly cant help you buddy as I never had one single problem...sods law indeed! Keep in touch and let me know what happens!

will do, im just gutted its at reno for agesssssss!!! how unlucky am i being!!!! whatever has happened, its been sooooooooooo messed up in its brain! gutteeed! Dont worry Colin, i will keep ya posted, hopefully she will be fixed soon!!!! or has my bad luck got to continue................
