1.2 16v emissions light car wash

Hi

After washing the car the emissions light has come on. The car has just passed its mot and performance is fine.

Any ideas? Or anyone had this issue.. trying to sell the car but a light on the dash puts a lot of people off

I had that on mine when i first bought it. it had been sat for 6 months before hand, but it still ran fine. Took it to local renaut guy and the fault was the throttle body, he took it off and cleaned it and its been fine ever since (touch wood)

Make sure the fuse box under the bonnet hasn't got wet when you washed it.

I forgot to replace the fuse box cover when I washed mine before and it got wet and caused all sorts of lights to come on the dash.
