1.2 16v 'pops and bangs' ?

Does anyone know why mine does ? Mainly when going down gear and letting clutch back out. It annoys me on the standard exhaust.

Is it the exhaust popping or actually spluttering and struggling with power?

Its done it from day 1 so not sure on power loss, it seems perfectly fine. It used to sound like a quite 'ting' (like aliminium or something), i then got a backbox and it went worse (sounded quite good ) i put the original backbox on and now it sounds more like a bang/pop. Quite embbarrising.

I'd have to hear a video to say what it was, sounds like just exhaust popping though which isn't a bad thing... unless it's knackered.
